It’s not exactly the strongest of woods, but it will be enjoyed by the kids. I would encourage anyone purchasing this sandbox to put on an extra sealant on the wood for added protection. My grandsons enjoy having the benches to "work on" with their little trucks and sand. The sand falls through right back in the sand box. It holds a good amount to dig in too. The tiltable, removeable w velcro, cloth roof is going to be helpful in the hot sun. The sandbox seats fold in to cover the sandbox and the top can come down to further keep animal and weather out.
