This is a good backyard addition for kids. Assembly was straightforward and took about 30 minutes with one adult, just as advertised. The pieces fit together well, and the finished sandbox feels sturdy and stable enough. The octagon shape is a nice upgrade from our plastic turtle. There is plenty of room for multiple children to play together. The built-in bench seats are a great feature and give kids a place to sit while they dig and build. The bottom is just landscape fabric, and I think the bottom will need some reinforcement to separate it from the ground. I might build a real bottom for it. The cover fits well and helps keep leaves and similar but it’s just a tarp with a bit of elastic on the corners, so it may not work to keep neighborhood critters (and my cats) out. What great sandbox. The cedar wood looks so cute and matches the wooden swing set. It has features that make for so much fun for toddlers age 2 and 4. My grandsons enjoy having the benches to "work on" with their little trucks and sand. The sand falls through right back in the sand box. It holds a good amount to dig in too.
