Shade Sails By Royal Shade

Not enough hardware when I ordered it looked like there was a lot more hardware there. I’m missing. I have to order two.. Michael. Lakewood, CO. Thu Aug 06 2026

Theses shade sails are an amazing deal! The price was great and the quality it great for the price.. Shannon Renee. Georgetown, TX. Wed Aug 05 2026

Installed this rectangular shade sail over our back patio and its made a huge difference — covers our seating area and the kids play space, and cuts the afternoon sun noticeably. The browntaupe color looks good against our house and doesnt show dirt like lighter colors would.. Christine. Chula Vista, CA. Mon Aug 31 2026

The Royal Shade Rectangle Waterproof Shade Sail from Wayfair is a practical and modern solution for creating instant outdoor coverage. The rectangular shape gives clean lines overhead, making patios, backyards, and pool areas feel more structured and intentional. The waterproof fabric is a standout feature. It’s designed to provide protection from both sun and light rain, which adds versatility beyond standard shade cloths. The material feels durable and substantial, built to withstand outdoor exposure when installed properly with the included hardware kit and ropes. Installation hardware being included is a major convenience. It allows for a more secure, tensioned setup, which is important for stability and proper water runoff. Once installed, it creates a sleek canopy effect that elevates an outdoor space without the bulk of a traditional pergola or umbrella. Overall, it’s a streamlined, functional option for adding shade and weather protection while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic outdoors.. Naza. CA. Thu Aug 06 2026

Super nice but I ordered the wrong size--I reordered a larger size.. Glen. Lehigh Acres, FL. Mon Jul 27 2026

Escape the sun's glare and create comfortable shaded spaces with this stylish shade sail. Designed with durable, weather-resistant material, it provides reliable protection from harmful UV rays, letting you enjoy your outdoor haven all year round.

It's perfect for my patio. My patio is 10 degrees cooler now.. Denise. Princeton, Texas. Sun Sep 27 2026

Awesome sun shades. Ordered my client the hunter green color. So sharp looking! Highly recommend. Ashley. Atlanta, GA. Tue Sep 15 2026

this is a replacement for an older shade. Found the eyelets to be superior in this Royal unit but have not had time to install but from inspection the stitching is the key. I can tell immediately we will be able to stretch firmer. While the fabric is thiner, it will provide a better solution and the mounting hardware is all there.. Rick. La Quinta Ca. Mon Nov 03 2025

We absolutely love it. We designed a social area for our cabin guests to use and this is a perfect cover for rain and sun without having to get something custom made.. Kateri. Cherry Creek, NY. Sat Aug 15 2026

What an amazing addition to our outdoor space. Fairly easy to install and came with all the necessary hardware. We will be able to spend more time in our pool without fear of too much sun exposure. Give this a 10 out of 10!. Lynn. Florida. Thu Mar 12 2026

Arrived as expected, in a tightly packaged box. I didn’t use them yet - it’s been raining for days.they seem solid, although time will tell if they can handle humidity well. it came with two sets of steel wires, one noticeably longer.. Mi. Mercer Island, WA. Wed Oct 29 2025

Everything we needed to complete the installation of our shade sail! Another good purchase from Wayfair. Sherry. Winter Haven, FL. Wed Jun 03 2026

Great quality! I purchased two. I like this better than the other as the hardware is made onto the sail and the other you have to add to the fabric. Love the black and the material of this sail. This one is a little smaller than the other but I would recommend as it’s a nice texture and heaviness to the fabric.. Ersula. US. Wed May 06 2026

We got 2 different kinds of shades that were made with different material. This one is by far the best. We got it to put over our trampoline to help keep our kids cool during the summer and to protect it from birds and leaves that fall from our tree. We are impressed with the quality. Good stitching and It’s water proof. Its kinda got a tarp feel to it, but softer. It’s waterproof so we can jump in the rain. Good times for sure. Hopefully it will last a long time.. Katie. Norman, OK. Tue Sep 22 2026

Perfect for the space I am designing i will be purchasing a few more to complete the space. Amy. US. Tue Sep 01 2026

Enjoy stylish sun protection with this durable shade sail. Designed to resist fading, mold, mildew, and weather, this sail provides reliable shade year-round. It' s perfect for creating comfortable outdoor spaces.

It's great quality and the color matches, however I didn't measure correctly and ordered a size too small. Unfortunately it won't work for the area we need but that is no fault of my own. Re-ordered same brand just a bigger size.. Candace. Saint Petersburg, FL. Tue Jun 02 2026

Perfect shade sail for keeping our chickens covered and cooler during the summer heat. You do have to buy the hooksinstallation kit separately and we are waiting for that to arrive so we can properly hang it up. Currently we are using screws and it is still working. We had some bad weather the other day and it held up great! Overall, we are very happy!. Erin. US. Sat Jul 04 2026

Durable and easy to install. This product is very nice and a great addition to our back yard. Anonymous. Mon May 11 2026

I needed some shade for the car with the heat this year. I have purchased shade sails from WAYFAIR in past years. The awning arrived intact and we are in the process of completing this project: painting posts with tops and using dacron line with clips we can remove it for tropical storms/hurricanes. The color and fabric match what I have for other awning/shade sails. Thank-you.. Karen. Avon Park, FL. Tue Jun 30 2026

Finally got this shade sail installed over my chicken coop and inside run. South Texas summers are brutal, but this is going to provide an escape from the direct sun. I’m very pleased with the quality. Came with all installation hardware, and husband didn’t have any issues installing it.. Amanda. Castroville, TX. Sat Mar 21 2026

This shade sail was exactly what we were looking for. It helps reduce the afternoon heat, looks beautiful overhead, and gives our patio a more inviting feel. The material feels sturdy, and it has held up well since we installed it.. Gracie. Pasco, WA. Tue Jul 21 2026

70% Shading Rate Our sunshade cloth effectively blocks 70% sunlight and lowering temperatures while allowing air circulation, decreases water evaporation, and increases humidity, creating a cool shade environment for plants.

Perfect for providing shade for the kids outdoor play equipment in the Texas heat and sun!!. Sharon. Sun Oct 04 2026

The material is lightweight but also provides a lot of shade and seems to be sturdy. The wrinkles have smoothed out, and the shade is now very nice in appearance. The gray color is neutral and pleasant. Very glad we ordered this one.. Reta. The Colony, TX. Wed Sep 23 2026

This shade sail is made of a thick but flexible material that should provide just the right amount of protection from the sun without being a total "sunblock" (or completely waterproof) and the reinforced attachment points on the sail seem sufficiently strong. I haven't yet installed it, but the included kit appears to be very comparable to the separate installation kit I ordered just in case the included kit was flimsier or more difficult to use. This particular brand of sail offered a lot of different size options, which is ideal if you are looking for a sail to fit a space with unequal distances between the triangle points. The sail I ordered measures 20' x 20' x 28.3'. it came with a installation hardware kit but I can't yet comment on whether the hardware kit works well. I also ordered another hardware kit in case I needed a different installation option than the one included. Unfortunately, Wayfair said it delivered both when I never received the additional hardware kit. After waiting 3 days to see if there was a problem with how the item was scanned, I have reported the missing delivery and hope that I will receive that other installation kit so that I can choose which kit will work better for installing the sai.. Kendra. Omaha, NE. Tue Jul 07 2026

Enjoy the shade with this stylish triangular sail. Designed with durable, weather-resistant fabric , it provides reliable protection from the sun's rays, allowing you to create comfortable outdoor spaces. Perfect for backyards or patios.

Seems to be quite adorable and the hardware kid is extremely helpful. I would advise using the wire cord to put these up as opposed to any kind of rope or string... Kevin. TX. Thu Sep 10 2026

This shade is huge. The color is perfect, and look exactly like the picture. I ordered the largest size, which will provide alot of shade. The material is great quality, and seems very strong. I haven't installed yet because of the weather but I can't wait. Alvin. Brooklyn, NY. Tue Dec 30 2025

We need to get a few more supplies before we can put this shade up over our deck. The size is great and it will cover the entire deck. The color is perfect and once we get the extra poles to attach it, we'll be the envy of the neighborhood!. Paula. Surfside Beach, SC. Thu Aug 13 2026

Love this sun shade for my backyard! Easy to assemble and gives the right amount of shade for my dogs. Traci. CO. Thu Apr 23 2026

We got this for our pool to try and make it stay a little cooler by blocking out some sun. My husband had to make the poles to assemble it. It’s a pretty decent weight and does provide partial shade. It does also come with hardware.. Michelle. Woodstown, NJ. Sat Jun 13 2026

Loving these shade tarps!! This is our 4th one and we really enjoy the extra shade it makes on the hot summer days. Also, protects from rain, which is another bonus! Installing can be a little tricky, but a little AI help and you can calculate precise measurements!. Lucia. Santa Fe, NM. Wed Jul 15 2026

Excellet and easy to put up.. Bettina. Oxnard, CA. Tue Apr 14 2026

This sun shade is huge and covers our large driveway. It is big enough to park two vehicles under to protect from the summer sun. This came with everything you need to hang. It took hubby a couple to times to tighten and reach the desired height.. Laura. Monte Vista, CO. Tue Jun 09 2026

Im writing this review based on packaging and quality due to the fact that I broke my wrist. I havent been able to install it yet, but i will update this review once I can. I got this to go over a cat area Im building on my property. Im hoping it will provide shelter from the sun and rain. It seems like its good quality. It came with all the hardware to install it and the directions seem easy to follow for installation. Once I install it, I will update this review.. Barbie. CA. Sun Nov 23 2025

Nicely made sail. I just wish it would let water through it so when it rains, it does not weigh it down. Otherwise it’s great!. Marthaddad. Purvis, MS. Thu Sep 04 2025

I haven’t installed this shade sail yet, but my first impression is very good. The material feels thick and durable, the stitching looks strong, and the reinforced edges and metal rings seem sturdy and well made. The color is also really nice and looks great by the pool. So far, I’m very happy with the quality and looking forward to getting it installed.. Jessica. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Thu Sep 03 2026

Great shade sail for the price! The fabric feels durable, provides excellent sun coverage, and helped cool down our patio space. Easy to install and looks modern too. works great in the Arizona sun- great value. Stephanie. Highwood, IL. Sat May 23 2026

Perfect for the hot summer days in Coastal SC. This rectangle Royal Shade measuring 18 x 24 ft covers a large sitting space in our yard and more! We are thrilled with the ease of hanging. Mind you, we hung it out a few days to allow it to stretch out before really placing it where we wanted it. Do hang on an angle so water will run off...we imagine we will still have to push up the center to drain off if a heavy rain, but we haven't had that yet. The lights we hung around the perimeter have helped create an "outdoor room!" Would highly recommend. The product material is HEAVY DUTY and seems extremely durable.. Jennifer. Bluffton, SC. Mon Apr 20 2026

1500 LB Capacity Triangle Sun Shade Sail Installation Complete Hardware Kit - 6 Inches, 304 Stainless Steel, Anti Rust

Everything came well protected, very heavy. The material looked very good. My husband will put up in the backyard for sure to have some shade. We are very happy with our kit. We do recommend this product.. Jandira. Hershey, PA. Sat Mar 02 2024

1500 LB Capacity Triangle Sun Shade Sail Installation Complete Hardware Kit - 6 Inches, 304 Stainless Steel, Anti Rust

These are v perfect for the shade that I bought… made it stretch to fit the opening. I will be buying more for my other sun shade.. Anne. Fri Aug 21 2026

With the prolonged winter in the mid-Atlantic, it finally got warm enough to install this. This is an extremely well-made and equipped sail. The material looks really good, and it is substantial, fairly heavy grade. The material is porous, so don't look for this to resist rain. All the hardware is provided. You don't have to go to the hardware store for anything. The ratcheting winches were easy to install and they do the job. The mounting rings on the sail and the edge wire reinforcements are solid and look like they will hold up under the stress of wind that the sail will undoubtedly need to endure. We love this so far!. Lawrence. New Castle, DE. Sat Mar 28 2026

1500 LB Capacity Triangle Sun Shade Sail Installation Complete Hardware Kit - 6 Inches, 304 Stainless Steel, Anti Rust

Made installing the sun shade a breeze! Came with enough hardware to do our triangle shade and part of our rectangle shade as well. Parts are high quality and sturdy, the sun shade is now well held up and secured, even with storms.. Erin. US. Sat Jul 18 2026

This sun shade provides plenty of shade as you can see in the pictures! It filters the sun through. It comes in a variety of colors and sizes and does the exact thing it is supposed to. We used an existing fence and sunk two poles in to keep it up.. Rebecca. Long Beach, NY. Sat Jul 25 2026
