As an avid DIYer, I know the difference between good and bad products. This motorized blind is high quality. Everything from the fabric and housing quality to the ease of installation make this a great choice. Unfortunately, our primary reason for purchasing this was for privacy in the evening, as our deck opens up to community courts and gathering space. As it’s getting dark in the evening, and the lights are on in our kitchenfamily room, you can see everything in our home almost as clearly as if the shade were not in place. Also, my home is fully automated with Alexa control. I have two universal RF hubs (Bond Bridge Pro and Toyanc IRRF transmitter) for home automation, and for some reason, both accepted the programming frequency of the remote (433.92 MHz), but neither would transmit the right codes. I was happy to find these shades for our patio. Hadn't had much luck except to order custom made at three times the price! I wish these were offered in shorter lengths....96 x 96 is 3 feet longer than the openings on my patio, but we can unroll them to the floor at almost 8 feet, or just leave them at the top of our brick wall and have extra fabric on the roll. It does the job providing shade. We use two in a 30’ round pool. Nice to not bake in the sun. Stays put on fairly breezy days. My concern is every velcro tab that hold the top to the gazebo frame, has a hole in each corner, where it’s sewn to the fabric. I don’t know how long that will hold up. This roll-up blind is very popular in Japan. A perfect natural decorative option to be used for screening and sunshade. This is naturally hollow making them excellent material for insulating heat from the sun on residential and commercial premises. Reed is harvested once a year for our fencing and curtain production. Attractive and so-far sturdy. Only issue I have is with the assembly instructions specifically regarding the curtains and bug screens. They guide us not clear regarding proper placement of them. Nice, sturdy pergola for the price. Easy assembly and it looks great once it's up. Two boxes came, both damaged on one end and parts had actually made it out of one box, in the end some minor scrapes and dents from shipping and the 4 solar lights were missing.
