[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sped up the melting time for the cheese on our cheeseburgers. It used to take forever to get everyone’s cheeseburgers done the way they wanted them.(sometimes someone’s burger might have gotten over done waiting for the cheese to melt.) I used this as a cover to help keep food warm.. Freakystella. Mesa, Az, United States. Thu Jan 25 2018

Get that smoky chargrilled flavor you’ve been craving with the Charbroil® Gas2Coal® 2 Burner Charcoal Tray. Simply line the tray with briquettes and use the gas burners to ignite them. When they’re hot, you’re ready for authentic charcoal grilling using the Gas2Coal® 2 Burner Charcoal Tray.

The 2 Burner Charcoal Tray worked well, and we were very happy to have the flavor that you can only get when using charcoal. Unfortunately, we were only able to use the 2 Burner grill once. When I tried to use the grill for the 2nd time, I noticed a hissing sound and the smell of propane. I tried several times to correct the issue, I even tried changing propone tanks before realizing that there was a leak in the gauge hose. Regrettably, I returned the grill, and now I have a grill cover and charcoal insert for a grill I don't own anymore.. Scott Ypsilanti. Ypsilanti, MI. Tue Jun 09 2026

Turn your Charbroil Performance Series gas grill into a griddle with the 12” Performance Series Griddle Insert. Designed to fit any Performance Series grill, it gives you a flat-top surface to cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Setup takes less than 15 seconds: unbox, set it on your grates, and preheat. That’s all you need to turn your grill into a 270 sq. inch 12” flat-top griddle so you can start cooking bacon, eggs, pancakes, fajitas, veggies, stir-fries, smash burgers, and more. A built-in sidewall helps keep food contained and your cook surface organized. Made from durable, rust-resistant cast iron with a low-maintenance porcelain coating, it delivers great heat retention and natural nonstick results. Simply drop the insert on and now you’re ready to cook on the griddle, right on the grill you already trust.

We saw this as an add on for our new Char-Broil grill but the big box stores didn't have in stock. It works great, heats evenly, is easy to install and remove, and makes cooking breakfast, smash burgers, fajitas, and vegetables a breeze. Cleanup is simple, and the grease management works well. It's a great way to add the versatility of a flat-top without buying a separate griddle. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade for any compatible Char-Broil Performance grill.. Amanda. Mon Jul 27 2026

The optional griddle is one accessory that is a must have. It is a direct replacement for the grate so it will fit with all Kenyon electric grills. For Texan owners, this means you can have one side for grilling, and one side with a griddle, or both sides with a griddle. This cast aluminum griddle is coated with the longest lasting non stick coating available and is the best way to prepare breakfast or anything else that requires a flat surface. To clean, simply take a wet paper towel and a set of tongs after you have finished using and wipe across to loosen any remnants, if that is not enough, after the griddle has cooled it can be placed in the dishwasher and will look like new every time.
