These panels were the perfect edging for my English garden inspired landscape project around my dahlia beds. For installation, I would recommend getting a long drill bit just slightly skinnier than the legs on these panels and pre-drilling holes into the ground and then using a rubber mallet to tap them into place. The culms of this bamboo are used extensively in Japanese woodworking and are excellent for indoor and outdoor decoration. Our Timor black timber bamboo poles come in an average of 2-3 inches in diameter. They are made up of a thick wall of heavy bamboo and are crack-resistant. Color and actual diameter will vary due to the natural material. We cannot guarantee a specific diameter of each pole, only that they will be between the diameter of 2-3 inches. 2nd UPDATE: was told "the best Wayfair could do would be to refund me $8.17"..ONLY and said they would send the refund to my bank. But I only received $3.17! The $8.17 itself was an insult considering this edging was over $40 but to only receive $3.17 is worse. After multiple "chats", Wayfair acknowledged it was an error and they would refund the remaining $5 but STILL NO REFUND! Their products are over-priced, their customer service sucks and they do not stand by their promises..BEWARE! UPDATE: ordered another since the first was great. But this 2nd fence is horribly constructed with wire gaps, not all interiors were foam-filled or up to top but biggest problem was that 13 bamboo pieces out of 23 had SPLITS. Very handsome screen. Some loose twigs here and there, but it’s natural wood after all. I used 2 panels to increase privacy on an existing alternating slat fence. A slightly different take on the willow edging commonly used in European gardens, this woven willow hurdle border is created from willow that has been debarked and undergone a carbonization process. This results in a light-colored willow border. Use them outdoors to define garden areas, walkways and more. They are held up with sturdy legs that can be pushed easily into the ground. Overall height is 16 inches with 8 inches of woven area and 8 inches of legs. Due to the natural material and the carbonization process, color WILL vary. Color can range from nearly white to golden brown. We CANNOT guarantee what color you will receive. Size may vary within 1” inch width, as these are handwoven using willow canes. Install by pushing the attached stakes into the ground. You can attach multiple pieces together using zip ties or galvanized wire. If you would like additional support, you can utilize garden stakes, and affix the panels to those again using zip ties or galvanized wire.

Black Giant bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper), also known as Petung bamboo, is renowned for being the strongest and largest among bamboo species. This black variety of D. asper features large culms that transition from dark brown at the base to black after a few nodes, with a diameter reaching up to 7 inches. Its thick-walled culms make it ideal for heavy construction and foundational structures. Farmers and builders in Indonesia and Southeast Asia have long recognized the superior qualities of Asper as a building material. These giant poles lend themselves to creating majestic and durable structures. In terms of size and growth, Asper is comparable to the Latin American Guadua angustifolia. While there's a friendly rivalry over which species is stronger, the fact that many farmers are planting Asian Asper in South America and Africa, whereas few are bringing Guadua to Asia, indicates Asper's greater global appeal. Each pole will vary in exact size, color and appearance due to the natural material. Diameter may vary within half an inch of the listed size.
