I put ice in this cooler on a Thursday and I still have ice in it on a Monday. I really like the latches on this cooler because they’re really easy to lock in place when closing the cooler. No struggling to keep it closed and secured. The latches are made out of what feels like rubber, and some metal so it’s very durable. The latches actually double as a bottle opener on the front of the cooler that makes it very convenient for any event. The carrying handles are made of rope and a handle molded for hand and finger placement for easy carrying. There are also 2 pad lock holes, 1 in each corner of the front of the cooler, for extra security. I used ice packs but if you do use ice, there is a drainage hole on this product also. Cleaning this cooler was a breeze. No mold or mildew formed at all. This particular Engel cooler has the ability to use a padlock to keep wild animals out of it. They even put a bottle opened on the front of it!
