It was easy to put together with the exception of the top’s “picture frame” that took a little bit of thinking. The wood was pre-drilled and the engineering on this construction is delightful. The parts fits together very well with self-evident features (grooves) in the wood panels that serve as a helpful guide. It took about two hours to construct and it was helpful to have a helper to brace it. We used an electric drillscrewdriver, a socket wrench and a regular screwdriver. We added a hole in the bottom panel to run an electric cord through. I think this sturdy little cabinet is going to last a long time.. Wendy. Dallas, TX. Tue Sep 08 2026

This potting bench features a solid fir wood construction that is pre-sanded and weather-sealed for durability and rot resistance, supporting up to 150 pounds. It includes an extra transparent PVC layer that is easy to clean and prevents water leakage to keep the work surface dry. The bench is equipped with a quality plastic sink and lid designed for convenient soil mixing and safe plant potting. For storage, it offers a built-in cabinet drawer with two hooks for tools and essentials, along with a large lower shelf that can hold up to 100 pounds for soil and fertilizer.

This potting bench works perfectly for me. It fits well within the space and is quite sturdy. It took the assembler about 45 minutes to put it together on my back porch, where it is now. Originally, I was going to paint it black to match the trim on my home. However, the brownish/gray color actually kind of blends in. So I am leaving it and considering painting it after a couple of years to freshen it up, rather than right now when it's new. The little plastic sink unit is nice and easily comes out to fill and/or dump its contents. The drawer is nice for items you want near by but out of the weather. There is a pretty sturdy plastic cloth that fits on top to cover the items below and keep them dry. I would expect that it protects the wood, too. I am pleased with this purchase.. Dyanne. I'm super delighted with this potting shed. We purchased it, in the 'natural' color, to use in our rec room as a china hutch. I was initially afraid that it would look too 'potting bench-ish' to be used as such. Once it was assembled, though, I found that it was even better than I had hoped. The existing wood in the rec room is a warm oak with a satin finish. The color of the potting shed was very much the same but with a matt finish. I fixed that by coating the wood with Howard's Feed-N-Wax wood polish and conditioner which not only gave the wood a slight sheen but deepened the color for an even better match with existing wood. NOTE 1: I originally, purchased two of these for the rec room based on measurements provided in the real estate listing for our new house. Once we got in the house, we found that, while I could fit both in the recroom, it gave the room a very crowded, over-stuffed look. So, we sent one back and kept one. Customer service was fabulous and the return was simple! NOTE 2: The assembly was time consuming even for my husband who is quite comfortable with wood working in general. But definitely worth it. It was a nice piece after getting built which would be alot easier if they would show more detailed instructions. Top or bottom or left or right side of pieces would help a lot. Got it built and seems sturdy enough although there are some imperfections. Mine had dimples in metal top that I cannot hide but not bad enough to repack and ask for another. (See Photos) I would probably purchase again. I have purchased from Wayfair before and they always try to correct any issues. These cabinets are very sturdy and for the most part, were easy to put together. However, I had to reverse a couple of pieces on the top and bottoms because the images in the directions were not very clear as to which part went to the front or back.
