Reed fences are inexpensive bamboo-like coverings for existing fences, walls, or screens. Reed fences are commonly used to cover chain link fences. Exclusively designed reed fencing is a beautiful and natural addition to your home and garden. We use only clean, polished reeds woven together with black nylon-coated wires that match perfectly with the color tone of the fence. Most other reed fences on the market are made with non-polished reed with husk. This fence has an opacity of about 85 percent but can be doubled, making it opaque. Due to the natural material of this product, the color may vary slightly from the photos shown. This fence is tan but may differ in shades, slightly darker or lighter.

I’m enamored with this natural reed fencing. Initially, I intended to install expensive shades, but I opted for these instead. They’re incredibly cost-effective. Whenever they begin to deteriorate, I’ll relocate them to the pollinator gardens during the colder months. This way, the bugs can safely hibernate and lay eggs within them. Meanwhile, my cats can enjoy the shade on their patio. I plan on doing this anytime I need to block the scorching sun.. Nancy. Chapin, SC. Thu Jul 30 2026

2nd UPDATE: was told "the best Wayfair could do would be to refund me $8.17"..ONLY and said they would send the refund to my bank. But I only received $3.17! The $8.17 itself was an insult considering this edging was over $40 but to only receive $3.17 is worse. After multiple "chats", Wayfair acknowledged it was an error and they would refund the remaining $5 but STILL NO REFUND! Their products are over-priced, their customer service sucks and they do not stand by their promises..BEWARE! UPDATE: ordered another since the first was great. But this 2nd fence is horribly constructed with wire gaps, not all interiors were foam-filled or up to top but biggest problem was that 13 bamboo pieces out of 23 had SPLITS. Several were completely split! Just a warning, you might or might not get a good one so be prepared to return this product.. Pamela. Sun Aug 09 2026

This fencing consists of thick bamboo shoots connected with thin metal rods. The 6 by 8 fencing weighs over 80 pounds so it was somewhat difficult to handle. It does not come with any way to attach it to posts or support. My goal was to zip tie the fencing to metal posts along my property line so that I could cover the view of the side of my neighbor’s garage. I hoped to add a decorative touch to my garden area. Getting the fencing unboxed and set up required two people because of the weight. It is well made but it didn’t really solve my particular problem. I’m unsure how I’ll use the fencing now. It’s too heavy to move around easily. I’m also concerned it won’t hold up well to Chicago winter weather. Be prepared to figure out a way to support the fencing. For what it is, it’s well made.. Five poles per package.

I am very happy as all the 8’ bamboo poles where 1” in diameter from top to bottom of the poles. I purchased 4 packages of 5 bamboo poles, 20 total where all as described.. Loretta. Littleton, CO. Sat Oct 18 2025

Commonly used in Japanese gardens, Kinkakuji-gaki is a very simple fence formed only with vertical and horizontal arrangements of long-jointed bamboo mounting. The beauty of these fences lies in its simplicity of refined textures and patterns. Made with an average of 2" diameter bamboo poles. A simple, yet beautiful addition to any home and garden.

This fence is amazing! Very sturdy & well made. And they look great too!. Holly. Albany, NY. Thu Jul 02 2020
