The cushions are thick and soft, the material seems like it has a decent weight to it and I'm hopeful it will hold up. They do come with adjusters on the bottom of the legs. Putting them together was simple, but have to admit having a 2nd person help hold in place, while adding screws made the job go faster. So happy with this purchase! This 12 piece set came boxed like it was the crown jewels. Despite an unhappy husband who had to cut up all the cardboard, no damaged pieces arrived thanks to the packaging. It was not difficult to put together, although with 12 pieces, it is time consuming. The cushions are great, very thick, look well made. A little firm, but not uncomfortable. We used sealant on the wood as a precaution, and used spray fabric guard on the cushions.
