We are so happy with this playhouse! Our daughter is 2 (almost 2.5) and has been absolutely obsessed with it since the day we set it up. The pizza oven and grill are such cute features and honestly what sold us — she loves “cooking” for everyone and serving little pizzas all day long. The working doorbell was also such a fun surprise and adds a really interactive touch that keeps her entertained. Great Playhouse! The directions on the other hand were terrible… My husband has a lot of experience in building, and this took about eight hours in total to put together due to the poor instructions. The Playhouse itself however, is great. My son really loves it. It feels sturdy for the most part, but my husband does intend to put three more two by fours under the main floor for additional security because it does feel a bit rickety in some places. I would not however call this unsafe as it does support him, myself, and our child with no issue. The floorboards just bend a little as you walk over them, which makes us a little nervous. Its very cute! It was fairly easy to assemble -- we didnt have problems with pieces missing or not fitting at all, and did it in about 6 hours all together. Some of the wood pieces are not in great condition, arriving already with splits in them or fraying (the wood is thin and splits easily), and inconsistent painting on some pieces. We paid 400 and I feel the quality is appropriate for that price, but if we had paid 700 I would be more upset about these flaws. Only other note is that I wish the door was taller--my daughter is 5 and we know she may only get a couple of years out of this at this point, but she is already inches above the door opening and has to duck to enter. The design could easily incorporate a taller door into the frame (we may end up hand-cutting a taller door) and this would increase the lifespan of the product in families.
