We like the look of this table on our deck. The 54” added 6” to our previous seating capacity which we wanted without having to change the existing rug. The 4 rating is due to an obvious seam where the top halves meet; something I was wary of prior to buying. It took 45 minutes for my husband and me to put it together. It was not easy, so if you are not good with tools and many screws, washers, nuts and bolts, you may want to get a table from a big box store or super expensive table from a patio store.. Jean. It looks great! Sturdy and sleek. The directions were sketches and clear to understand. All pieces were well marked! It took us several hours to finish putting it together mostly because we don't often construct things. The first pieces were difficult because we had to be on our knees to screw it together, after that all was well. Small tools included. When you get to the part where you attach an inner ring to the outer legs, we used the large box it came in to hold it in place by placing it under the metal pieces- which balanced it and held it in place while you screw in place.. This table works just fine for our purposes... I actually purchased a restocked unit for a discount, so factor that into my comments. The unit I received was clearly a return - original purchaser started assembly, stopped and returned for some reason. My only "complaint" was that this was supposed to have been inspected before being resold - I somewhat doubt that element. No effort was made to repackage/protect the components - everything was just shoved back into the box. The "Inspector" made zero effort to safely repackage the components either. Hardware was left loose in the packaging, parts were not returned to their protective coverings (which were just shoved empty into the box), and the overall container was not securely taped for shipping (it arrived with typical shipper handling that busted some of the packing seams). I expected missing parts. However, all was there and I assembled the unit. Upon completion, it did show the impact of the mishandling by the original purchaser, Wayfair Inspector, and subsequent less-than-protected shipping - but was still acceptable our purposes (afterall, we knew we selected a restocked unit). The table itself was well designed, fairly easy to assemble, and once completed - more than sturdy for an outdoor bar-height table. I would say getting a new unit would negate the issues I noted..
