Vitamix® Tamper for Low Profile 64 oz container for Legacy Series

Needed a replacement for my original one. This is perfect! I didn't want to just use a regular spoon since this in designed and intended for for the Vitamix. Such a necessary tool

this is great to use when blending things and not having to use a wood spoon.

Just what I needed

These work great and hold up in the dishwasher. The only problem I had with my last one was running it into the blades of my food processor. Long story.

I love the versatility of this tamper to help guide ingredients into the blender!

I am unsure why people give this item a bad review. Make sure you purchase the right tamper for your type of blender and keep length in mind. You also do not need a lot of force to use it. Just work quickly and patiently to make nut butters for example. Some people mention the plastic being thinner than the old design. I only know this current design and it works perfectly fine. It is super light weight.

When I first started using Vitamix I wasn't a big tamper fan. But eventually I realized how much the tamper improves blendability. I don't use it every time, but when the going gets tough... But be careful! I have made the mistake of using one with the lid off and gotten a blender full of plastic.

I was drinking my smoothies when I realized I had hard plastic bits in my cup. I used the tamper as directed with my 64oz model and it was chipping away little by little. Once I figured out the culprit of the fine black matter, i also noticed water sloshing around inside the tamper. EW! So for months who knows what was growing inside and then leaking back into my smoothies. I suffered gastrointestinal issues for months not sure why super bummed that it’s not better quality. Customer service hasn’t responded to my 2 emails in 2 years!!
