No Power Source Required / Manual De-icer

kept my wonderful furry friends, the stray cats of the neighborhood drinking water all winter as well as the ravens, sparrows and chickadees. It also provided me with hours of entertainment like the day the raven fell into the pond. He got out safely.

I don’t like it. The description did not give enough detail and it was all wrong for what I needed and I needed a extra piece which I can’t fine any where and it’s no good without it. Waste of my money totally.

My pond didn't freeze at all with this product and the frogs love it too! They get to hang at ones pond all winter long because it doesn't freeze

This deicer was purchased for the horse trough and works well. So far the winter has been mild but there have been several nights in the low 20s and the trough has stayed ice free. The trough is an old bath tub and holds a good bit of water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I end up getting this deicer during the warm season, but I decided to go ahead and try it out. It heats up the water nicely and floats very well. I love the rubber no rub cord and how the heating coil is underneath of the thermostat to protect in low water. If you need a deicer for your live stocks water container this one is great!
