I couldn’t be happier with these bookcases. They look beautiful, feel sturdy once assembled, and offer a surprising amount of storage. The combination of open shelving, drawers, and cabinet space makes them both functional and attractive. Assembly is definitely a two-person job and is a bit involved. Our first bookcase took about four hours to assemble, but by the time we built the second one, we’d learned the process and finished it in under three hours. One tip for future buyers the instructions have you attach the hinges to the cabinet doors first and then install them after the cabinet is fully assembled. We found it much easier to attach the hinge hardware to the cabinet frame before installing the top panel, then attach the doors as the final step. It’s still a little fiddly, but it’s much easier than trying to work in a cramped space with tiny screws. Overall, these bookcases exceeded my expectations. This goes in a closet when i am not using it, so the wheels are great. Ordered in black, and I must say this item is nice! The material is durable and holds heavy items well (I.e., kitchen aid mixer, blender, miscellaneous items). It has decent height and space to hold a few items such as the aforementioned, but it won’t hold much more than a few heavy or large items. I took away a star because the instructions are completely useless. It was such a hassle following along the directions provided. If you’re not good with puzzles, this won’t be a good item for you to purchase. Assembly took roughly 4 hours simply because of instructions. Once I ditched the instructions and started simply matching items that seemed to go together is when I was able to complete the assembly. Aside from this, very nice item.. Ld. Watertown, NY.
