Best Wall Sconces With Reviews

We are Extremely happy with the look of these sconces. We purchased 4 for our new master bath. They have not been installed yet, but the English bronze is a great color. Not quite black, but not as red as oil rubbed bronze either. Sort of a n Espresso color. They are sturdy and seem to be a very good quality light. All 4 came in perfect condition. We purchased on sale, so the price could not be beaten anywhere else we looked. Can't wait to see them on the wall!

I purchased two of these wall sconces to flank my frameless flatscreen tv above my fireplace mantel. Yes, I know, so 21st century traditional! Yet they were the perfect pieces we needed to tie everything together. These are well made sconces that take small candelabra type bulbs. The ivory hued light is soothing, and not glaring or harsh. With the addition of led bulbs and a dimmer switch,(Not Included) we are able to dial in the light output depending on our use of the room. The ambiance is so warm and inviting that I’ve forgone with my desk lamp as auxiliary lighting and use these instead. Absolutely beautiful and at a great price. Way to go Wayfair!

I originally purchased these two plug-in swing arm sconces to go on either side on my bed. Now that we're moving and the new bedroom has windows on either side, I may use one for reading in a seating area in the bedroom. Not sure just yet, but I will post pictures when I do get moved in! These two lights are a bit longer than what I expected and the option to adjust them can be a little tough sometimes, but that doesn't stop me from falling head over heels for these beauties! I wanted to see what the "Open Box" option was all about since I saw that one was drastically cheaper. I decided to give it shot and see if the quality of the item is excellent, good, fair, or poor. It was excellent! I thought maybe that was luck, so I ordered a mirror via "Open Box" and guess what?! It was excellent!!!! The items are packages so well to ensure there is no damage to the upon arrival. Kudos Wayfair! 5 stars!!!

These sconces are really nice! A breeze to hang. I say hang because I’m not installing to electricity. I’m putting them up on the wall with the two screws included with a nice bronze cap over their ends. Once hung I’m going to put puck lights in them so I can dim at ten increments and time them how long I want them to stay on. This is a popular diy on decor blogs. This is going to give me the look I want. They are exactly as they look on my monitor. Not too big but perfect size for both on either side of my hall mirror.

I purchased a few of these fixtures and I really do love them! However, I'm having a hard time finding light bulbs for them, especially being in Hawaii. My electrician had them installed in about 20 minutes with no problems. I had read in the comments that in person they are bigger than they seem in the online picture and that's very true! I feel the same way about them and I like that about them. The picture really makes them look smaller than they really are. I also appreciate that Wayfair ships to Hawaii! So many other well-known companies won't ship items to Hawaii or only a few of their items and some items we can't just can't get at all. I love that Wayfair ships to Hawaii, so please don't stop!

I purchased the oil rubbed bronze finish and it matches other light fixtures in the room that I already had, so I'm very happy with it. The size and scale of these is just as detailed online and they fit our space perfectly. There are screws on the sides that attach the fixture to the backplate. I think that if they had been on the top & bottom of the fixture, it would sit more flush on the wall. These tilted down slightly after installation and I had to place a shim on the bottom between the wall and the fixture to help lift it up. Overall, a great addition to our room and a good value.

The gold brushed tone is nice and the main reason for purchased two lights was for reading in bed ... I don’t want switches on the wall next to bed and don’t want to get up to run off... sonthe individual pulls on each lamp are perfect . They are a nice (non whimsy ) size with a true white shade . The downside is that a power cord comes out the bottom of the fixture thru a hole.. a little work needs to be done to hardwire .. but the hole is left there . It would be nice if they offeeed a small attractive plug for the hole . My husband wants to put a small pc of metal inside (painted gold .. but I still think that looks obvious .. I’ll probably glue a small metal paired wood plug in . It doesn’t state this cord or show in picture/description so be aware . I’m still keeping them .

I bought two of these sconces for a powder room makeover and they are perfect. The quality seems to be good, they have a nice weight and they were packaged extremely well. My only complaint, the mounting screws on the square base are on each side so you can see four screws as they are shipped. I loosened the single nut that attaches the base and rotated it ninety degrees so the mounting screws are now top and bottom. If they had come from the factory that way I would have given this review five stars.

I like the look very much. I was concerned it might be a little too large for my space. The size is perfect. The white shade with a 60watt Philip’s Hue soft white bulb looks very nice. I did not use the plastic anchors. For one they’re extremely cheap and flimsy. I bought 1 34” 10 wood screws and screwed 2 screws into a stud. It comes with 1 12” 8 screws with the cheap flimsy plastic anchors. My opinion is 1 12” doesn’t go deep enough into the stud. I like the use of a threaded ring to attached the shade. It’s adequately secured and stable. The cable channel rails worked out great. The instructions are useless. The ALLEN wrench for loosening the screws where the arm pivots was slightly too small. As I tried to loosen the screws the wrench kept turning and it felt like it was stripping the head of the screw. That really concerned me. I found my metric ALLEN wrenches and a 3 worked . Whew!! That gives the impression it’s cheaply made. Anyway, it worked out. It Looks very nice and if I can figure out how to install it with crappie instructions, anyone can do it. Last let, I feel this lamp should sell for 75-80.

These are super sleek modern and affordable. Totally love how different these are than traditional downlights and especially if youre using them as vanity lights. Reason for 4stars and not 5 is that these are very delicate to install the metal isnt super strong like iron so they can be bent if handled roughly. Which honestly Im thankful for now since they were crooked to begin with and my husband was able to bend it straight! Lol. The glass globe is also very delicate be very careful when installing them onto the actual hardware it is kinda nerve racking, like trying to squeeze and egg into a tight fitted sock! Depending on the type of bulb these lights are BRIGHT, because they are clear. Think lamp with no lamp shade basically. So we got a soft glow Edison bulb for ours with clear glass vs. frosted glass bulbs and they look better IMO. Also I chose ROUND bulbs instead of the elongated ones for the look. Enjoy! I'm crazy about these sconces. I finally realized that we no longer use lamps on our bedside table to read, because we are reading on our devices, so mostly we only use the light to get into bed, set the alarm, etc. I had my electrician install these next to the bed and he put an on/off switch on the wall below, just above the nightstands. I put a 40W dim-able bulb in them, which gives off a soft glow. My husband can get into bed, turn his side off and I can keep mine on without keeping him awake. Now the whole top of my nightstand is free! They are very attractive and a great value.

My house is modern farmhouse. I needed a sconce to replace an outdated alabaster hallway light fixture. This fit the bill nicely. Matches well with the other lighting I have (Donna 4 light and 6 light chandeliers). Gives off a nice light and casts a nice shadow. Ive purchased the 2 light flush mount fixtures for the entryway and upstairs hallway. I dont have them installed yet, will review once they are up. Obviously they will match the other light fixtures well. We will see if they provide the light Im looking for.

Fairly easy to install, though the instructions were terrible. The only step-by-step instructions were on how to turn your power off (very important, no doubt!) but there were no instructions with regards to the actual installation of the light, except one tiny diagram. Thankfully this wasn't our first time installing a light so we already knew how the process went. I think the price of the light is very fair for what you get with regards to quality. My only complaint is that the lightbulb protrudes much more than the photo indicates. I was hoping the shade would cover most of the bulb, but alas, most of the bulb is exposed.

Love the look! Purchased three to flank and between two mirrors in our master bathroom. Seems like good quality, EXCEPT there are two very obvious screws on each side of the wall plates. I could not see this in the pictures so be aware. The plates are square, so our electrician is going to loosen the nut on the back and see if he can swivel them one quarter turn. This would put the ugly screws on the top and bottom where they would not be nearly so obvious. I'm a bit concerned about the clear glass not defusing the light and that it will be harsh. If I find that's the case, I plan to add a frosted stripe to ease that.

Item as shown. A nice brushed brass finish. Came with all screws, etc., to easily put on the wall. We are using two of these on either side of our bed for reading lamps. You have to set the lights up where you want them positioned because once they are set in place you cannot move the arms without getting out of bed to release and reset the arms. This is manageable but I do wish there was a switch on the lamp itself. To turn it off or on I have to use the wall switch near the door. I am bypassing this by leaving the lights on and unscrewing the light bulbs to the off position when not in use. Otherwise, a very attractive lamp.

I really like the classic style of this lamp, the finishes, lampshade, and design but did note some quality control issues in the pair I got. The check ring (or cup) on one sconce is uneven, which is not that noticeable; but the second lamp sags no matter how we tried to adjust the installation, and its socket switch was not cut straight. Since I got a pair of these as bedside lamps, I compare them against each other and can't help discerning how they do not match. But, they do work, are good-looking if you don't look too close, and are the right size and type of lamp to serve my needs, so I'm trying not to let the flaws bother me. It's just that maybe there are a bit expensive for what I got, sadly! Also, there is NO dimmer switch, and Wayfair should really correct the misleading product details. I would've gone with another lamp had I known. I added plug-in lamp dimmers to resolve the issue, but that was an extra cost (x2) and they waste energy in the form of heat, plus they don't look as nice and streamlined.

I love these lights, super easy to install they have a cord to plug in or can be hardwired. The swing arm is perfect for when I want to read I can extend the light over the bed if needed. Has a 3 way switch so if you want just a little light to set the mood or if you just want to read at night!! The are exactly what I was looking for!!! in the pictures the 1st- of them off folded toward the wall, 2nd is with the arms extended for reading and 3rd is lights on with arms folded toward the wall. They are GREAT lights at a GREAT PRICE!!!!
