Best Table Lamps With Reviews

I think this is a great little lamp. I got two of them one in the cream and one black became wrapped very well with Styrofoam (yuck I know but it isn’t broken!) and cardboard. It’s a classic mid-century look, with the soft tapered lines and linen barrel shade. The the mechanism works well with a twist onoff switch. The only thing to note is that the color of the lamp base isn’t 100 solid matte color. It’s more of a paint wash, allowing the grain to show through. I actually don’t mind the look, as we have a bit more of a Boho vibe in this room, but if you want something to be more crisp and modern, this might not be the best choice.

Love it as an addition to our industrial and modern farmhouse decor. If you decide to purchase this, please be aware that not only is this lamp tall, but it’s also long in regards to the depth you’d need on your table or nightstand. Measure your space before you purchase so you don’t end up returning. I had to pull my end table away from the rear wall a few inches so that the upper gear part/arm of it would fit on the table without bumping the back wall. Fortunately the table is also black and hidden a bit by our curtains so that it doesn’t look awkward being pulled a bit forward. One last note, item came packaged well without damage, but contents have to be assembled and the components are all in that atrocious foam that leaves hundreds of those staticky tiny foam beads everywhere when you try to take the pieces out to build. It took longer to clean all of those up than it did to assemble. Maybe take it outside or in the garage when opening to prevent a big, staticky mess.

Well, despite the great price and good quality, I have to admit to myself I am no longer interested in assembling furniture. I needlessly upgraded to a 65" tv (my 55" was probably good enough) so I needed a wider stand for it. As others mentioned, it was important for me to be able to place the soundbar in the middle and this does that perfectly. Also, like others have mentioned - the directions are good but could be better. I think it was steps 9 & 10 I just could not figure it out and once I moved forward with the assembly I realized several mistakes. I liked the provided white glue but in steps I was unsure I was reluctant to use glue. I got it together...probably took me two hours of methodically plodding along and some leftover parts but got 'er done. For the money, you really can't beat it and despite China getting a bad rap these days, the engineering and packaging is 1000 times better than anything I tried to unbox 30 years ago. As you might discern, I have a DVD player and then my turntable next to the sound bar and that works out nicely.

I ordered these for my mom. Her décor includes a lot of brass (hardware etc.) and because she likes it and isn't up to really doing a complete deco overhaul I searched for lamps that would go well w/ what she has. I found these and we agreed that they would look beautiful in her living room with her furniture etc. She did continue to search and shop around (in person, not online) and only found one other option which was way too modern. These lamps arrived and were perfect and the price couldn't be beat! She is extremely happy with them. One arrived with a tiny little nick on the base but it was in the back by the cord so not a big deal. These lamps are a great buy and look beautiful. Also, the shades are more cream NOT white which is exactly what we needed.

This is my first purchase with Wayfair and I'm pretty sure it won't be my last. Great lamps, just as described on your website. Clear instructions included showing the lamp interior outlining wiring and ways to adjust alignment. Ordering and setting up my online profile with Wayfair was painless. Timely delivery, well packaged. Appreciated the speedy emails advising of shipping, carrier and then promptly confirming delivery date/time. The price for 2 lamps of this size was very good. The free shipping is an added bonus and much appreciated when you are on a fixed income.

To start out - I'm going to review this lamp for what it is - a $100 lamp. I've seen a lot of 1 & 2 start reviews by people who seem to think they bought a top shelf product. For $100, this lamp is a great value. It looks great and it works, so that's about all I ask. The metal body of the lamp is very light, not light enough to tip over in my experience, but easily easily nudged. Again, for a $100 lamp I am willing to deal with this. If I were paying twice that or more, it would be a dealbreaker. Finish is good, a couple inconsistencies but no big issues, I've also seen reviews complaining about the shade assembly being off-kilter, I was able to apply a little pressure to bend it back to straight and it's all good. Again, not acceptable fit and finish for a $300 lamp, perfectly acceptable for a $100 lamp. Great for a guest room or something like that. I wouldn't have them in a room where a kid could easily knock it over or anywhere else where it's going to get bumped often.

This lamp is beautiful and just as described, but there's something that isn't obvious from the pictures. The glass lampshade (or whatever you'd call it) is a very dark shade of off-white. That didn't seem like a big deal when I looked at the picture, but when it arrived I realized that it gives off light in a rather yellowish hue regardless of what color/kind of bulb is used. I had purchased this lamp for a room that is decorated entirely in black, white, and red, so the yellow lighting in one corner doesn't really work so well in that room. That said, I still think it's a gorgeous piece and am very happy with it. I will simply have to find a new place for it in my home. This is just something to be aware of if you're looking for a lamp to fit into an existing decorative motif.

I ordered two of these. There were just a few hiccups but nothing major. First of all the details on the lampshade are plastic pieces that look like crystals. I didn't realize that when purchasing, but considering the price point...it makes sense. The first lampshade was in tact...the second lamp shade had pieces missing, that we found in the packaging...all except one piece. So we will have to contact customer service and see about getting one of the plastic/crystal details. Also the felt bottoms were cut a little small, so they were not taunt and placed across the entire bottom of the lamp base...so we did the best we could to make them fit. I don't know that either one of these hiccups would have kept me not purchasing, or regretting my purchase. The lamps are absolutely stunning...and again for the price point, I got what I paid for. These are not high end, but still the finish is nicely done. Hopefully I will have success in dealing with customer service for the additional piece, and not have to send the entire lamp back.

This is a beautiful lamp. Bronze, to go with curtain rod and black frame pictures. Cord is long and clear. The glass rings like something fine, cuvralinear design, it looks like it has rain drops inside. The shade is is a marvelous modern shape, but classic, color is in natural beige like flax, to go with throw pillows, the room is white and Grey so shade warms it up a bit. It would compliment many casual styles and into any room. Size is substantial but takes minimal visual space. Sophisticated but casual. The people that took my order were gracious. It came in two days. The only problem, the packaging was really secure! Lol. Great experience all around.

This is a nice lamp. Sturdy. Very unique. Lots of compliments. We were able to put it together easily. It is a large item so you need space for it. There are two styles: one that has a wider shade brim and the light bulb shows (table lamp), and then another that has a much narrower shade brim and the bulb does not show (desk lamp). I wish I had chosen the smaller shade style as this is quite a wide piece, a full 31 inches the way I have it set up. It is adjustable but only to a point. It comes with an Edison bulb, but I switched it out for a shorter stained glass bulb that is not as easily seen. Overall, happy with the purchase.

So, I’ve been wanting to redo my room to give it more of an adult yet still cute flare and I’ve slowly been updating it piece by piece. I’ve been looking for lamps to put in my room for quite some time now and being an indecisive person did not help so you can imagine I was frustrated! I was looking for something that wasn’t too childish, yet still showed that feminine flare I was hoping to go for with my theme and compliment my nightstands (Which were also from Wayfair!) And I have to say, definitely made the right choice. Pricing was reasonable, assembly was SO fast, took me less than 15 minutes to put both lamps together and the lightbulbs were included. It just really made me feel like I’m one step closer to finishing my room! The only negative thing I would say, which I did see in previous reviews before I purchased them, was that some people received their lamp shades with a dent in them and unfortunately I was not excluded from that. However, it wasn’t anything too serious to the point where I felt like I had to have a fit, because they still look amazing and I’m overall pleased with this purchase!

These lamps are so pretty -- nice 'coastal farmhouse' style. The only downside is that it is a little challenging when you have to screw in the socket that holds the bulb -- the cord spins with it, and is a bit challenging to keep it from twisting too much. I was concerned I would compromise the wiring. Still giving these 5 stars, as they are of excellent quality, and so pretty. I'm sure there is a trick to screwing in the socket just right.

Before seeing this lamp on your website I spent over a month searching locally for an item that met my specifications. I live in the Rocky Mountain region and coastal items are not in high demand. In fact, they are almost non existent in the stores or on their online sites. When I came across this lamp on your website I knew it was the one. The height and color are just right and the coastal look enhances my remodeled sunroom. Over the past months I have purchased a number of items from Wayfair and I'm happy to say I have been fully satisfied with each purchase. I am in the process of redoing my bedroom and Wayfair has proven to be my "go to" supplier. The Barnwell lamp was the perfect addition to my new design. The base of the lamp is a lovely, blue glass that is transparent, yet, the cord inside of it is hardly visible. The texture of the base adds interest to the design of the lamp and causes the blue of the lamp to take on slightly different hues depending on the amount of light in the room and your location as you look at it. The quality of the lamp is excellent. The assembly was extremely easy. Wayfair's team readily answered my questions prior to actually placing the order and the actual delivery of my order came earlier than expected. I have received two subsequent orders and am awaiting more. Wayfair is a company you can trust!

I love this lamp. I purchased two to sit atop the nightstands in my master bedroom. These lamps replaced lamps I loved, but lost during Harvey that, unfortunately, are no longer available for purchase. Design goal: add a splash of dramatic color to my nautical/beach aesthetic that compliments my muted sea foam green bedding without overpowering it. These lamps do it perfectly. Competitive research - I visited dozens of sites and viewed thousands of lamps I found 6 possibilities, all in the same color family, with and without nautical themes. In the end, the other 5 lamps could not compete with this lamp in design, appearance, color, versatility, or price. All 5 of the runners up were priced well over $100 and all had more muted colors. I would give this lamp 10 stars for price, if I could. Shipping: The lamps arrived quickly and without incident. The box is very large so, if you won't be home during delivery, be aware the box will be highly visible on your doorstep. The lamp was tightly packaged in Styrofoam and the shade is covered in plastic to protect it. Unpacking and Assembling: It is impossible to get the lamp out of the box without getting Styrofoam bubbles everywhere so, there was a big mess for me to clean up after I assembled the lamp. If finding Styrofoam bubbles clinging to your rugs (or carpet) for a few days bothers you, consider taking the lamp out of the box in the garage. The lamp assembles quickly in just 3 easy steps. The lamp: The pictures do not do this lamp justice. They are much bigger than I expected, which turned out to be perfect. I use my Philips Hue bulbs and dimmer in the lamps and they work perfectly. The best part about these lamps was a surprise - I didn't realize, until I began assembling them, that I could put something inside them. The description doesn't give an indication that it is possible to do that, but it is. I had been looking for a way to keep and display the white sand and seashells I saved from our family vacations and these lamps are perfect. Even better, they are large enough to add more sand and seashells from our future vacations. Overall: I'm replacing an entire house of belongings after Harvey and can honestly say these lamps are one of my favorite purchases since the storm.

I really like the lamps. The color is close to what is in the picture. The picture's design is a bit more artistic than what was delivered. The bases are hand blown, so each will be a little different. We had a problem with the directions and pulling the light cord from the bottom of the base did not work. Instead, we had to stuff the cord on top inside of the brass fitting that holds the lightbulb. It may have been twisted inside of the glass base. Anway, after a lot of effort we got it to work. It looks SO much better than our old lamps. It arrived the day after ordering it and was packed tightly so as not to have any damage. If the shade fabric was rolled the opposite direction, it would have made the shade easier to get on the wire supports. However, again with two people we were able to get the shade stretched on the supports. Overall, I am satisfied with the results and the price was excellent.

The first order arrived completely damaged inside of the carton. There was insufficient packing which led to the damage. Customer Service was very professional and immediately sent us a replacement. The second order arrived within a few days, and we were happy with the lamps. There are some minor flaws inside of the glass, but overall we were happy with the quality. Customer service promised they would inspect the lamps and add additional packing prior to shipping the replacement. However, it arrived with the same type of packing that the 1st shipment had. Luckily, nothing was broken this time and we are happy with these lamps.

This is a review of the second lamp we received, as the first order came damaged.Lovely lamp. It goes beautifully in our sturdy. The soft blue shade of the glass glass complemented by a white, finely textured shade really makes it look very high end. And it looks great with the cherry furniture and warm greige walls. The light from the window makes it look magical, probably a first for a study. We love it. Gave it only 4 stars for two reasons. First, assembling the lamp is a bit of a pain; as I put the metal top onto the glass ball and tightened it, as per instructions, the cord inside the metal tube twisted around, making it almost impossible to tighten the lamp top enough and it kept tipping over until i figured out how to untwist the cord at the bottom while holding holding the top. the second point: the lamp came in a thoroughly beaten box; it clearly had been opened previously and retaped so the old tape was falling off, dried and yellowed. The box itself looked like it had been dropped, jumped on and squeezed into a corner. The shade was totally damaged, instead of a drum shape, it was a mushed tear-drop. The I wish I could give Wayfair the 5th star back for the very professional, efficient, and quick response when I called the customer service. Within a few days I had a new, perfect lamp. I've rarely found customer service to be as excellent as that of Wayfair.

The box this lamp set arrived in was damaged, about 1" deep gash on one corner. It was well packaged, double boxed, very secure and all pieces wrapped in plastic wrap and then cardboard, so that had nothing to do with the damage on the lamps though. Unpacking made a huge mess, and it was quite a fight to get it out of the box, as it is taped to the foam and cardboard and each other, tiny bits of styrofoam sticking everywhere, in my hair, all over the floor, took me a half an hour to clean that up... But I must say it was very securely packaged, so I guess I should not complain about that! It takes about 10-15 minutes max to screw the lamps together, gently pull the electric cord back into place and unwrap the shades. It looks just like listed, shade color was pretty spot on (it is a fabric probably glued on to a semi-flexible plasticky sheet, I actually think this might make it more durable in the long run), seems nice and sturdy, really like the dark cord color instead of the funny yellow, so that is a plus. The problem I am having is that both table lamps have damage on the oil rubbed bronze body of the lamp. Since it is an aluminum tube painted, it does shine through where the paint has been knocked off. Also it seems that the paint was rubbed somewhat, it looks like if I had it for 5 years and moved with it 3 times, kind of worn. From 10 feet it looks great, but it sitting next to me on my side table, I sure can see it :( Since you basically have to destroy the packaging to get it out, there is no way this can be packed back up and sent back, so I guess it stays. I called Wayfair costumer service and they were fantastic and offered me a discount to offset this, which I took and will try to touch it up with some spray paint... I'd give 5 stars for the set if it would have arrived undamaged, as it looks very pleasing to the eye, colors are great, the parts fit together well and look good after assembled, 3 stars for being damaged, so I settle on 4 after the great customer service. It is made in China (like most things these days...)
