Best Swing Arm Wall Sconces With Reviews

Looks exactly like the photo. The swing arm is a little stiff but I won’t be using that anyway. Interestingly, the first bulb I tried got too hot and burst, so I bought dimmable bulbs and even tho it doesn’t really dim, they work perfectly at 60 watts. I love the sconces, they were exactly what I wanted. Also, I had to replace one because it hung crooked and the return was easy and seamless. They sent a new one right out. Great customer service!

I originally purchased these two plug-in swing arm sconces to go on either side on my bed. Now that we're moving and the new bedroom has windows on either side, I may use one for reading in a seating area in the bedroom. Not sure just yet, but I will post pictures when I do get moved in! These two lights are a bit longer than what I expected and the option to adjust them can be a little tough sometimes, but that doesn't stop me from falling head over heels for these beauties! I wanted to see what the "Open Box" option was all about since I saw that one was drastically cheaper. I decided to give it shot and see if the quality of the item is excellent, good, fair, or poor. It was excellent! I thought maybe that was luck, so I ordered a mirror via "Open Box" and guess what?! It was excellent!!!! The items are packages so well to ensure there is no damage to the upon arrival. Kudos Wayfair! 5 stars!!!

Ordered this light open box/clearance in the bronze color for a steal; received the item in natural brass. Although the color is not what I ordered, I loved it in the space and am a happy camper despite the error! Solid metal and easily installed (even without any instructions included in the box). The cord is a ghastly shade of yellow gold and the included cord cover (alas, missing the 2 screws for mounting) only hides a foot of that god awful hue. I'll be getting a cord channel to hide it. Light isplenty bright for a reading corner, and with a smart LED bulb (not included) it's exactly what I wanted to compliment a photo/picture "gallery wall."

Beautiful fixtures, especially for a larger bed and wall space. One star deduction only because the switch to turn the light on should be oriented on the inside so the user doesn't have to stretch to the other side of the fixture. They should make a left/right fixture or allow the unit to 'flip'. Otherwise, these are lovely and perfect for the application since we could not wire behind the shiplap and didnt want to cut the wall either way. Decided to pipe them behind the bed - there is an outlet back there, so it worked out nicely. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them, nice looking fixtures, but know they are a decent size so measure to make sure the heads are not too big for your liking!

I like the look very much. I was concerned it might be a little too large for my space. The size is perfect. The white shade with a 60watt Philip’s Hue soft white bulb looks very nice. I did not use the plastic anchors. For one they’re extremely cheap and flimsy. I bought 1 34” 10 wood screws and screwed 2 screws into a stud. It comes with 1 12” 8 screws with the cheap flimsy plastic anchors. My opinion is 1 12” doesn’t go deep enough into the stud. I like the use of a threaded ring to attached the shade. It’s adequately secured and stable. The cable channel rails worked out great. The instructions are useless. The ALLEN wrench for loosening the screws where the arm pivots was slightly too small. As I tried to loosen the screws the wrench kept turning and it felt like it was stripping the head of the screw. That really concerned me. I found my metric ALLEN wrenches and a 3 worked . Whew!! That gives the impression it’s cheaply made. Anyway, it worked out. It Looks very nice and if I can figure out how to install it with crappie instructions, anyone can do it. Last let, I feel this lamp should sell for 75-80.

I do a lot of crochet work in my easy chair while watching tv in the evenings. My tall floor lamp always seemed to get in the way of my swivel easy chair, and the light was NOT DIRECTIONAL wherever I needed it. Soooo, I decided to attach a wall light that adjusts to my crochet work or my reading or my laptop work. I am really pleased with my new wall lamp, and it is pretty good quality for the price.

If the lamp shades remained level on both lamps, I would rate 5 stars. Love the industrial style and the mobility. One lamp shade stays in place on the pair I bought but the other wont. Tightening the side screws helped but not enough. They look great though. Im using simple plant grow bulbs successfully in the lamps. I love them. I covered the cords with plastic snap cord covers from a kit, used part of the adhesive strips from the cord cover kit to protect my walls, and painted the plastic covers my wall color leaving just the switch exposed at the bottom. That streamlined the look of the cords quite a bit.

I was looking for a plug-in sconce style lamp for over my bed to add some additional light into a darker corner of my room. This lamp is great because it can be converted into either a hardwired or plug-in light. The packaging did not come with all of the hardware for mounting, so I used some of my own heavy duty drywall screws. Installation was easy and I was able to attach the prestripped wiring together in a few minutes to have my new lamp completely up and running. The knobs on the length of the lamp make it so that you have adjust the height and angle in three separate sections and the whole lamp arm can be horizontally. I wish that there was additional sideways movement of the lamp head to get a more precise angle, especially because there is not a dimmer option, but other than that, it is a very nice and seemingly sturdy wall mounted lamp.

Quick Delivery - Love the Lights ! Read reviews and modified product a bit to address the statements made. First - loosen off all of the arm lock nuts, and make sure the white and black wires that pass by each knuckle are a bit loose (this is what prevents arms from moving easily). Second - I put a thin rubber strip between the metal socket base plate, and the portion of the glass shade that gets tightened against it (creates a soft buffer cleaner looking fit). Dimmer is great Have had no issues since being installed. Highly recommend.

We love these lights! The white matte lamp shade is reminiscent of 1920s era light fixtures. We got two, one for each side of our bed so as not to clutter our small bedside tables with a table lamp. They come with a plug, but can be hardwired too. We are using the plugs. Some assembly was required, but the instructions were fairly easy to follow. Wayfair includes an option (for a fee) to have them install the lights for you, which is great if you don't want to hassle with doing it. We installed them ourselves.

Great light for bedside reading. I do not like that I have to lean so far to turn it off. I would prefer a toggle on a wire that I can reach easier. The reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is the light that comes from the on/off button is very bright. I wish that was an option to have on rather than a necessity. It is not good for one's health to have a light on when sleeping and this button is amazingly bright when the light is turned OFF.

Item as shown. A nice brushed brass finish. Came with all screws, etc., to easily put on the wall. We are using two of these on either side of our bed for reading lamps. You have to set the lights up where you want them positioned because once they are set in place you cannot move the arms without getting out of bed to release and reset the arms. This is manageable but I do wish there was a switch on the lamp itself. To turn it off or on I have to use the wall switch near the door. I am bypassing this by leaving the lights on and unscrewing the light bulbs to the off position when not in use. Otherwise, a very attractive lamp.

I have mixed feelings about these. The light fixtures are beautiful. I bought them as bedside lights. Please be aware that the arm that extends from the wall plate does not move up and down, only side to side so you may want to place them high enough on the wall that you aren't afraid of hitting your head when getting in bed. They also aren't really meant to install without having a box in the wall and hard wired. My husband was not impressed trying to install them. He did manage it but it was not easy at all. The glass seeded shades are lovely. My two came quite different as one had lots of seeds of all different sizes and the other had sparse seeds and all were small. Phoned Wayfair and 2 new shades are on the way. Great customer service.

I really like the classic style of this lamp, the finishes, lampshade, and design but did note some quality control issues in the pair I got. The check ring (or cup) on one sconce is uneven, which is not that noticeable; but the second lamp sags no matter how we tried to adjust the installation, and its socket switch was not cut straight. Since I got a pair of these as bedside lamps, I compare them against each other and can't help discerning how they do not match. But, they do work, are good-looking if you don't look too close, and are the right size and type of lamp to serve my needs, so I'm trying not to let the flaws bother me. It's just that maybe there are a bit expensive for what I got, sadly! Also, there is NO dimmer switch, and Wayfair should really correct the misleading product details. I would've gone with another lamp had I known. I added plug-in lamp dimmers to resolve the issue, but that was an extra cost (x2) and they waste energy in the form of heat, plus they don't look as nice and streamlined.

Great fixture! Amazing for an art lamp / feature light. Only 1 slight issue is that the Gold is very very brassy gold not soft gold. So if you're looking for a "perfect match" to other gold items, this might not work for you. Personally, I don't have an issues "mixing" finishes, so it does the job nicely.

This is more about the delivery- that I thought you would want to know Even though it came promptly, the packages were delivered by Fed Ex. They were left at the base of our driveway-next to our mail box, on the ground! Our drive way base is far from the house ~~100 yards! Not only could anyone just take the boxes there- but this is Hawaii in the winter where it rains ( especially at our house) daily! Good thing my husband was home & brought them in! I don’t need to tell you that if the boxes got wet- the lamps& shades would be ruined! And had they come up the drive ( as the mail man & UPS) the delivery person would be able to put the boxes on our porch under shelter- or honk & we would come out if home! I hope you can follow up with Fed Ex, as this is our 1st purchase with Wayfair & I’m reluctant to order again! Otherwise, lamps are as expected & installed! Thanks for asking, Cindy Nachtigall

I love these lights, super easy to install they have a cord to plug in or can be hardwired. The swing arm is perfect for when I want to read I can extend the light over the bed if needed. Has a 3 way switch so if you want just a little light to set the mood or if you just want to read at night!! The are exactly what I was looking for!!! in the pictures the 1st- of them off folded toward the wall, 2nd is with the arms extended for reading and 3rd is lights on with arms folded toward the wall. They are GREAT lights at a GREAT PRICE!!!!
