Love the look of this light! It looks fantastic in our remodeled laundry room. Shipping was fast and the item arrived intact. It took about an hour to swap out our existing light for this one. Some quibbles - the instructions were pretty much worthless in my opinion. The lamp pictured on the manual wasn't even the same one we had purchased. I suppose the installation steps were the same but not being able to match the instructions to our lamp visually was really throwing me off. Luckily this is the ninth light fixture I've bought for the house so my husband and I have had some prior practice! Secondly, the holes to mount the glass dome onto the light base are not aligned well. We were able to make it work, but it took some elbow grease and prayers. Overall I'm satisfied but I wouldn't recommend this to a DIY beginner due to the vague instructions.

Ive had this fixture for 2 years now so feel qualified to review it. We installed it ourselves in our dining room to replace an ugly builder grade fixture. Its a small space so this as a single fixture works perfectly. Installation went alright, even with 2 amateurs figuring it out. We shortened the chain by quite a bit and I appreciate that was an option. It hangs very balanced, not at all lopsided. And it looks amazing with Edison bulbs in it! My one and only complaint is cleaning it. Its a nightmare. After many trials and errors featuring streaks and finger prints, I determined the only way to clean it PERFECTLY is to take the glass down, wash it with dish soap, rinse it off, then (this is KEY) put on white cotton gloves, dry it with paper towel, and reinstall while wearing the cotton gloves (a 2nd dry pair is best). No smears, no prints. Then a dry duster can do the trick for a while in between these full cleanings. Its annoying to say the least. But I still give this 5 stars because any clear glass fixture would be the same! Still happy with my purchase!

Great light for the price. I wanted to upgrade my boring builder grade plastic flush mounts, but since there were several of them replacing them starts to add up quickly. I don't like a lot of styles of flush mounts but I liked these. I bought two in the oil rubbed bronze and had them installed by an electrician in a hallway. It only took him a few minutes per light. I bought LED Edison bulbs on Amazon to complete the look. I love them and am thinking about buying a third for my upstairs hallway. The only downside is that the glass is not flawless. There are some small bubbles and lines. But at ~$50/light and a few feet up in the air, no one is looking closely enough to see the imperfections once installed.

It took us a hot minute to get the handyman out to help me put this up. The box came wrapped tightly and it shipped in a reasonable amount of time. However when we opened the light we noticed parts of the drum were creased, and the drum itself is a hard plastic, so you get the idea of trying to fix bent plastic ( 2 liter bottle type issues) . We tried to smooth them out but you can see them in the second picture. I'm going to ask for another drum for this fixture. Otherwise, the color is great, the amount of light reflected is perfect for a bedroom or small office, my husband and I love the profile of the fixture on the ceiling (we have 9ft ceilings)

Exactly what I was looking for! These lights look great and are a much needed modern update to my 1980s townhouse. However, as others have mentioned, they are a huge pain to install. I am fairly handy and even I was ready to throw in the towel on these. The directions are pretty bad and consist only of an image showing how all the pieces are supposed to fit together. Tip when you put the downward-facing screws in the mounting plate, make sure they are the correct distance apart so that they fit through the holes in the bulb housing piece. The directions don’t show which holes in the mounting plate to put these screws in and I could have saved myself a lot of aggravation by checking this first. Other aggravations included too-small wire nuts (ended up reusing the ones from the previous fixture) and downward facing screws that were just a little too short to be able to screw on the ball knobs, which was not a flaw in the fixture itself but because my junction box was slightly recessed from the drywall. Anyway, if you are not handy, save yourself the torture and just pay someone to install these for you. One fixture did arrive damaged but Wayfair sent a replacement part quickly.

Love the fixture! Wanted better light in my home office after purchasing new art. Spent time researching the best type of bulb to achieve this. The vintage with filament gives off quite a yellow cast, feels like candlelight even with 8 bulbs. Returned them fo get LED's, not available in the shape shown in the original photo. I like the sleek, contemporary lines and was disappointed thinking I would need to get round bulbs. I sales person I was working suggested trying a base adapter. This is an inexpensive way to solve the problem. It is a small piece that screws into the candelabra base that converts it into a standard base. I spray painted them black with a matte spray (be sure to tape over the connection area as to not get paint on it). I used 40 watt LED's. They are a bit longer than the other, which is great. The light is bright, I have the contemporary look that I love, you still have the exposed filaments, which are cool, and you can see the fine detail in my new artwork. Now it is so bright we are adding a dimmer switch. I don't think adding the black adapter detracts from the beauty of the fixture. If I don't tell no one would ever think about it. I hope this helps others and saves you from doing all the running around I did.

LOVE this light. It looks very modern and high quality. I’ve purchased two of them and they’re my favorite lights right now. One light arrived with damage to the shade and some pet hair. It looked like someone returned it and the seller resold it But I contacted Wayfair and they immediately replaced the entire light without me having to return the damaged one. My only issue is the color temperature of the light. I was hoping they’d be slightly warmer. My one photo shows two rooms, one with the light fixture and one normal lights. You can def see the light fixture is cool toned. Thankfully the fixture is on a dimmer switch so that helps a little with the brightness. Overall I’m very happy and would recommend! Just make sure you love the color temperature first.

I purchased both the 7.5" and 20" models. The 7.5" was out of the box and installed within 10mins including the time it took me to disassemble the existing. The mounting bracket is super easy and the light lies perfectly flush with the ceiling. The amount of light is a lot, but it is the perfect color light, and the 1" frame helps it stand out from the rest of the recessed lighting. The 20" model was much harder to install. Having to sink in drywall screws for 2 of the 4 anchor points was disappointing but necessary due to the weight. The X bracket was simple to understand and the included fatigue cable was a thoughtful inclusion, allowing me to hook and rest the fixture to the junction box while I prepared the connections. I think the X bracket could be stronger as my light is not perfectly flush. But it is really really close. Perhaps I didn't use the correct mounting sequence but as I was mounting the light I did counter weight each of the screws to evenly distribute the load.

These are awesome lights. I bought them to replace the domed ceiling lights you see commonly in older homes. I got 3- 11", 1- 7" and 2-9". They're super sleek, easy to install, and they are BRIGHT. Wow do they provide so much light. I was nervous about what sizes to get at first and thought a lot about it. This is what I came up with and it turned out perfect. Any dome light that was a single light in a room or area of the house (bedroom, entry, basement stairs)- I got an 11". Any dome light that is accompanied by another in the area (like two at the top of the stairs on the second floor landing area) I got 9". There were 3 lights in our kitchen within a 10ft radius, and I replaced one of those lights with a 7".

Well, the light is beautiful, but they sent me the wrong color so I am anxious to get the oil-rubbed bronze up to see how it will look in my kitchen. I installed the whole thing before it hit me that it was NOT the color I had ordered..And installation was a bear!!! Finding the screws that the light hangs on was horrendous, because of the insulation surrounding the screw holes. Then, the middle post that the gorgeous glass hangs down from is too short, so I will be going to Lowes to get a longer post so the light will hang correctly....I have done a LOT of lighting and fan projects...this one was one of the worst, which is a shame because it doesn't have to be this way if they will just tweak a few things...so if you can get past the installation, then you will have a beautiful light to look at. ;)

It's beautiful, but for some reason the screws that connected it to the electrical box were just a tad too short, so I spent an obscene amount of time trying to fit them through the tiny holes in the light. If you look at the picture, you can see there's about a 1-inch ledge around the top of the light, so when the screws hang down, they just barely fit through the holes on the other side. I finally had to go to the store and buy 2.5-inch screws instead of using the 2-inch screws they came with. That worked just fine.

The light is pretty good! We hung this in an unconventional place because the existing wire location was in the ceiling, and the house is very old. We didn't feel like opening up the walls and decided this was easier. My only "con" is that the 3 light globes have short 6" brass tubes that cover the black cord-covered wire. These have threads to connect to the globe part, but the top of the brass tube is unthreaded, and therefore looks a tad sloppy to me. For most people, I'm guessing the black cord shows and is considered a design detail. But for us, we were trying to HIDE the black cord completely, and the top of the tubes all look slightly crooked where they meet the light box. Overall though, it appears to be good quality. Took us about an hour to hang, and definitely needed 2 people.

Overall, I'm happy with these lights. Everything came undamaged and appears as I expected it to from the stock photos. I agree with some of the other commenters that 1.) adjusting the cord length is not simple/easy and 2.) I'm not confident the plastic set screws for the cords will last. If they do fail, I'll find metal replacements and use those. Our original wiring box was offset from the center of this fixture by 25" due to a previous project where we doubled the original length of our island. Rather than attempt to move the wiring box and deal with drywall patching, I first created and installed a 12" x 60" board with routered bezels, etc. to cover the original wiring box. The ceiling side of the board has cutouts and channels to guide a wiring extension from the original wiring box to the center of the board directly over the center of the island. Since that board is secured to ceiling joists, I did not have any issues with securing the mounting bracket as it is easy to simply screw into the board. I used WAGO 221 LEVER-NUTS (Google them) instead of traditional wire nuts to complete the wire connections. We installed Philips Hue light bulbs in our fixture to create different lighting moods. We're very happy with the final result.

Beautiful!!! Haven’t installed yet, but just looking at them in the box, I am thinking they will look perfect over the bar counter. The larger size is spot on for installing 2. And so happy everything arrived in tact and no broken glass. UPDATE - After finally getting a chance to inspect the glass globes further (I am in the middle of a Reno & these sat in boxes for a bit) and remove the covering, I found that one was chipped and the other had bubbling and scratches that just made it look really bad. Wayfair said they are sending replacements for the glass globes. I really hope that they are in good shape because I really like the look of these pendants. The glass is pretty thin though, especially compared to the matching Snead 1 - Light, Semi-Flush Mount that I bought to go in a hallway. That glass globe was nice and thick on that one and I don't get why these are not the same quality. Will update once I receive the replacements and once installed.

I bought two of these pendants in Jan. so I'm a little delayed in getting these up. I installed one on my own and I will say I'm a beginner in my electrical skills but I did it. The second pendant needs an electrician because this is "an additional one" and there are no wires/holes yet. I will say the directions are awful but after a while I figured it out. One thing I noticed is it comes with candle covers - not sure where or how these are used. Again directions are not good. Overall I love the look. It matches what the pictures and info are listed and fits the room I bought it for. One of my lights candle/light component is a little mis-shaped but at this point I'm not going to fix it or return it. I'm just happy its up.

I really like this light! It is very bright with 8 bulbs. It exceeded my expectations and fits the theme of my dining room exactly! I’m pleased with it. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just because it was a little difficult to install. It took my husband and I both climbing the ladder and holding the light so it could be wired. The directions are basically just a picture. It took us a little bit to figure out that we only strung the wires up one side and would need to decide how longhow many links of the chain we needed to cut off to achieve the right height above our table. It would’ve been nice to be able to attach the top piece to the electrical wires and have the weight supported by the ceiling, but instead it’s all one piece so you have to hold the entire light up while connecting it and if you need to change the length of the chain you have to bring the entire light down and cut the links, then restring them.

Wow! These look great! Our contractor installed two today during renovation of our galley kitchen. With white Shaker cabinets and dark hardwood floors, the oil rubbed bronze light fixtures are both rustic industrial and simple modern. But I think these fixtures could work with art deco and modern farmhouse!! The white glass dome shades filter out the shape of the lightbulbs just enough. With the right bulbs, they give a bright but not blue-white fluorescent light. They are ideal for tasks and still warm for relaxed appeal. (Our contractor recommended 2400-3000k LED bulbs for this space. That number is used to describe how warm or cool the hue of the light is. Who knew.) My favorite thing The glass dome is closed on top so we wont have to clean the fixtures often. No dust or gnats ever. P.S. We used two Dunwoody fixtures for this high ceiling galley kitchen with an enclosed fan. Highly recommend these. fixtures offered at a good price.

This is a beautiful and elegant light. It adds a touch of class to our foyer and the crystals cast lovely lighting on the ceiling. I chose the light primarily for its appearance and for its brightness. Our foyer is somewhat of a dark space and these 4 bulbs at 60 watts each make the entrance warm and inviting. The only negative was the difficulty of installation. The holes for the screws should have ferrules on them to guide the process of attaching the lamp to the ceiling. As it is, however, there is nothing to help get the screws into the holes, and because the light is so heavy (even without the crystals, which are attached after the light is in place) and you are working above your head on a ladder, it is very difficult to install. We finally got it on - I took the weight off with a pipe while my husband put his finger on a screw hole and guided it onto the screw with his other hand - but what a horrible experience! The cardboard circle made it even more difficult, but we taped that to the ceiling using double-sided carpet tape. All of this said, I do love the light for all of the reasons stated. I highly recommend it. Just approach the installation prepared for a bit of adversity.
