Stained glass is handcrafted using the same technique that was developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. Glass types and colors are designed using metallic salts during manufacturing. Each piece of real glass is hand-cut and copper foil is wrapped around each individual piece. The glass pieces are then welded by hand to create one-of-a-kind designs. As part of the finishing process, oil is added to the outside of the design to protect the metal from erosion. The beauty of stained glass is its versatility when illuminated by light. Stained glass will become more vibrant when lit.

Added a cozy and warm aspect to an overlooked area of our home. The bench is perfect as well. Both were easy to put together and came in excellent condition and are great quality that look much more expensive than they were.. Paige. Decatur, TX. Wed Jul 01 2026

Meyda Co-Founder Meyer Cohen created this lighting design on the front porch of his summer studio in Old Forge in Upstate New York. The Meyer Lantern was designed with a Honey art glass roof and bottom; with a cornucopia of Blues; Greens; Yellows; and Reds. Today the pendant can be seen adorning camps and vacation homes throughout the Adirondack Mountains. The shade is created using the famous Loon Peak® copperfoil construction technique and complemented with a Mahogany Bronze finish. The overall height ranges from 17 to 53 inches; as the chain length can be easily adjusted in the field. The Meyer Lantern Mini Pendant is included in our American-made handcrafted Meyer Lantern Collection. UL and cUL listed for dry and damp locations.

Very nice pendant light for the money. I liked the rope chain idea because existing ceiling outlet was not centered where I need my small kitchen table, luckily I have exposed beams so screwed a hook in and it's perfect now. The issue with this light is the rope chain unfortunately. As a guy with many different pliers, I found it very difficult to open and close the chain links to finish it off at the ceiling. You have to be very careful with it to not scratch off the antiqued look from the chain. Ideally they would have included a threaded link instead of bending open and closed. Still a nice light.. Exactly as pictured and a great price. Beautiful glass and heavy as stained glass should be. Excited to get it up in my new build!. Kristin. US. Sat Apr 11 2026

Instructions are hard to read and follow -- only a diagram with very tiny print, and an error or two, so it seems. There's no way to adjust the length of the chain and wires (don't ignore the wires [AC and copper ground wire] that dangle with the the chain; wrap them a couple of times around the chain so not so intrusive). You could cut the chain and wires, but then you'd have to open up one chain link, hook it to the top "ring" and then close up the link somehow, hoping it holds/works. I opted to use an S hook and double up the chain in one section, after it was hung; doesn't look great because you are also doubling up the electric cord and ground wire with it. Twist ties help. As my installer, offering encouragement said, "you won't notice it after a few days." Other than all that, the light, when lit shines nicely -- use 100 w equivalent led bulbs. Installing is definitely a two-person job, since the wire and chain have to be connected and fed through the shade and up into the cap where it connects to the ceiling. Finally, the description says this is cut glass. I assume it is, though it feels like some kind of plastic. But probably some kind of lightweight break-resistant glass, I think.. Robert. Very satisfied with the look of the light, and installation was not all that difficult. Only negative is the down rods that connect the base from the ceiling to the lighting frame are flimsy ( after installed) and therefore the light moves a lot (tightened the rods as much as it allowed)..
