A wider housing easily covers up existing blemishes from older fixtures, while the option to adjust lumens provides the flexibility for various mounting heights and light levels within a space. This combined with Triac (line voltage) dimming provides an easy and convenient way to add dimming functionality when paired with a compatible wall switch dimmer. And this can be accomplished with existing line voltage wiring for renovation projects.

For the past few months, I've known it was time to replace the dim, buzzing fluorescent light in my kitchen with its constant flickering and failure to power on 98% of the time; I just did not know what I was going to get to replace it until I saw Lithonia Lighting's gorgeous rounded edge fluorescent light. The fluorescent lamp is clear, bright and cool to the touch and since it does not use as much energy as a traditional incandescent light bulb, it is providing this single mom and teacher with 25% - 35% energy savings. It is also long lasting - 10,000 hours+ - compared to a traditional incandescent bulb 800 to 1,500 hours. My only complaint is that fluorescent lighting includes a small amount of mercury liquid inside of it, which is converted into a mercury vapor when the lamp is turned on and can impose a small threat of mercury exposure to my family..
