I ordered the pole with this lantern and I love it. It does not come with a bulb. I suggest using an aquarium type long skinny bulb. It looks great. Again make sure your pole has the mounting kit as I had to pay my electrician to come back after I had to order the kit. I don't know who wants a pole without a way to attach a lantern to the top, but with it, it looks great.. Shirley. Tampa, FL. Mon Mar 31 2025

Quality light, and beautiful too! Metal is not thin and wimpy, it is nice and solid. The design is great for a transitional style, looks fantastic on our 1970’s ranch, a very nice update. They are open on the bottom so that bugs don’t get stuck inside the light along with moisture won’t build up inside. The glass is all one piece, not four separate pieces of glass. Quality! I am using dusk to dawn light bulbs and they are working great in this style. I looked for a long time to purchase matching pedestal and wall house lights. Our street light wiring was fried by a lightning bolt. To repair it would mean spending $1000s to have a contractor effect a repair. Reluctantly I researched replacing the light with a solar-powered one and, again reluctantly, bought the “No Wiring Required Imperial III Commercial Solar Post Light 3" Fitter” solar-powered light. I had visions of a poorly-illuminating light that would go dead after a few hours of darkness. Boy was I wrong! After the recommended charge, I tried all combinations of settings and the light never failed. On one occasion a day went by without any sunlight at all and I expected the light to die some time during the second night but it did not. I altered the attached photo to remove the automatic intensity enhancement so what you see is real. I live an hour north of the USA-Canada border so this winter will really put it to the test but I am no longer skeptical of its performance. By the way, this is no toy – it is very sturdily built and should last a long time.. Peter. Nepean, ON. Tue Sep 15 2026
