These lights look great in theory, but they are terrible. Would return them if I could. The water pools up inside, so they are always foggy, and paint on inside bottom has completely flaked off. Nice quality pier mount light. I mounted it without the base plate, in order to replace the existing light that was on a 3” diameter post. I found a nice 11 12” LED bulb that screws into the standard light bulb socket. The proportions are quite proper.
