Our street light wiring was fried by a lightning bolt. To repair it would mean spending $1000s to have a contractor effect a repair. Reluctantly I researched replacing the light with a solar-powered one and, again reluctantly, bought the “No Wiring Required Imperial III Commercial Solar Post Light 3" Fitter” solar-powered light. I had visions of a poorly-illuminating light that would go dead after a few hours of darkness. Boy was I wrong! After the recommended charge, I tried all combinations of settings and the light never failed. On one occasion a day went by without any sunlight at all and I expected the light to die some time during the second night but it did not. I altered the attached photo to remove the automatic intensity enhancement so what you see is real. I live an hour north of the USA-Canada border so this winter will really put it to the test but I am no longer skeptical of its performance. By the way, this is no toy – it is very sturdily built and should last a long time.. Peter. Nepean, ON. Tue Sep 15 2026

Works great! Nice and bright. Easy to put together. We mounted it on a piece of concrete for the moment. Lights up all night till next morning with enough sun. Definitely not as bright on a cloudy day but for what we need it for it works great. Helps me see the driveway at night without electricity and more digging! Lol. Alexis. Tipton, IN. Mon Nov 13 2023

The post does come with a sectional pole that must be twisted together. The ground is frozen here so we ended up zip-tying it to an archway for now. Some of the solar floodlights available are brighter than this light. Plastic lantern and the pole is metal.. Allison. Farmington, NH. Tue Jan 02 2024
