We purchased 3 different medallions to look at them in person. decide on one return the rest. They were so gorgeous we couldn’t choose readily, but have a couple light fixtures we can use them with. In hanging a new high dollar chandelier (wives purchase) the existing electrical box was not aligning to her satisfaction with the table below. So, move box? No! I purchased this several years ago to use when I had my ceiling fan replaced. When taking down the older fan, it had a wider base and the replacement left a less then pleasing cover. 24" square medallion, it's 3/4" thick. The inner opening for a light fixture base is 8-3/8". This photo shows the medallion just after installation and painting. Before painting I added texture with paintable caulk and let it dry overnight. I wanted it to look like it's been there all along. I attached the medallion to the ceiling using strong glue and a couple of screws, then caulked all the seams. Electricians will do a complete re-wire so the danglers you see are not hot.
