I bought based on price and features. The item is very light weight -at first I though the box was empty. It is designed for hardwire ceiling mounting as a pendant. While the basket is wicker the rest of the assembly is basically plastic. The remote light control feature is a function of the light bulb and the remote control not the bulb socket. The remote feature does work. I have not yet tried the phone app control. I suspect you can put the included bulb in any compatible socket and it would operate the same. The remote ships "dry" - requires 2 AAA batteries not included. I modified the assembly from pendant mounting to swag chain operation by using a slightly different bulb socket and a swag chain kit. No obvious information on bulb replacement (will replacement bulb require a different remote?). The wire connector uses extremely tiny screws almost pin head size. My connector was missing a screw -fortunately found it in the packing materials.. James. Sun Aug 23 2026
