Very tall and nice looking post. I was shocked by the exterior shell material, I expected it to be a bit thicker but instead it was thinner plastic. The inside post was heavy duty. Similar to the topper (which is shown in this picture but not included, although I made the mistake of purchasing that too), this post is a misrepresentation of the item shipped. The listing claims this is made of plastic (which you would think means vinyl). Nope... this is made of cheap, soft wood that is poorly sanded and has dents. The manufacturer could have used wood putty to fix the dents before painting, but did not. They also nail gunned the heck out of the post after they painted it so the post has small holes all around it. Again, they could have and should have used wood putty or another filler to conceal this. I included 3 photos just to show the poor quality of the "finished" work. At the price they are charging, I would expect a much higher quality product; specially since they are claiming this is made in the USA. Nice basic pole that does not have an old styling to it. We were looking for a more contemporary post, but we updated it by choosing a more contemporary light.
