It is taller than I expected! Very nicely made. The shade pattern I picked is beautiful. The bottoms of the legs have soft pads so it won’t scratch your furniture. Nothing but fun, this piece features a long, slender body with the strong, firm lines of the framed lamp shade creating this lizard's reading material. The body features a handmade wrought iron frame that is powder coated and then wrapped in abaca rope. Each lamp comes with approximately five feet of clear cord with a plug that extends from the base of the tail. The shade features a standard UL lamp backing with fossilized cocoa and guyabano leaves that are hand-placed and then laminated. The shade is handstitched onto a powder-coated, wrought iron frame. Bulb Recommendations We highly recommend using LED bulbs with this lamp. 400 to 800 lumens per bulb in soft white light is suggested. A19 Medium BaseMax 13-Watt Type SBCFL or LEDWe do not recommend incandescent bulbs because the heat from the bulb can discolor the shade over time. The lamps are small and compact allowing you to place them just about anywhere without taking up too much space on any dresser, desk, or side table. Both the base and the lampshade are made of high-quality acrylic material. The lampshade has designs and patterns of flowers on it giving it a beautiful look especially when illuminated. These lamps are compatible only with E26 special LED light bulbs (60 watts max) and are not compatible with standard bulbs due to their small size as they cannot take bulbs over 2.6 inches high. The lamps are turned on and off by the switch on the power cord cable making them easy to use. Due to the size of these lamps, these can be considered more as night-lights than lamps.
