But when you knock it, it sounds like plastic. That's why? Because of its special manufacturing process. Each glass piece is cut by hand, then polish the edge before wrapping the copper foil. The edges of the glass pieces are wrapped with adhesive copper tape (copper foil). Then putted together in a mould according to the pattern. At last, using soldering material to weld each glass at a very high temperature. The Stained glass is Much Heavy than Plastic, and couldn't been burned, normal knife couldn't cut them. Easy to Check it.

Pretty straightforward with the wiring. The stained glass is pretty but the fixture is quite small. I need to get a different bulb because the only extra one I have right now is too long and dips below the edge of the fixture. I love the pattern and clean lines of this lamp. The brown, green, and orange colors go well in almost every setting. And the workmanship is exceptionally good. I only question whether it is really glass, however. A small sample of glass is included with the shade, to try and prove that the shade is really stained glass. The sample does not exactly match the shade’s glass. Also, I have another 14” shade like this one, but from a different manufacturer. The other shade admits to being high quality plastic that looks like glass. But the two shades weigh about the same. A real glass lampshade would weigh much more than a plastic one.
