Medallion arrived in great condition; nothing could get through that packaging material. However, the side that attaches to the ceiling was slightly convex. We replaced 3 fixtures at the front of our home - dining room, foyer, and stairwell. The stairwell had a simple bubble light, with no medallion, while the other two had this exact medallion.
