Updated review: I received a replacement set which arrived very well packaged and in excellent condition and included the instructions which the original did not have. After reading the instructions I realized that the original set was in fact functional, the lights have a very discreet on/off button that I didn’t notice before it’s well hidden. The button is on the bottom where the stake goes in. For the hassle I’m giving it three stars but the lights do work very well and customer service came through like they always do. Update: It has only been a few days since my initial review and 2 out of the 4 do not hardly illuminate and because of that, I cannot recommend. I ordered these lights to put in a garden bed so I could see it at night from my window in my house. They came unassembled, but it was easy to put them together. It has two different attachment options included so you can put the stake in to put it in the ground or screws and a plate if you are hanging them somewhere. Make sure you take the clear plastic off the top and turn the button to on before you install them. They came with a charge which was nice so I got to see them on the first night. They make my garden look beautiful and easy to see from the house, but are dim enough that they don't light up the whole yard.
