I ordered two of these lights to hang over my kitchen island in my new modern farmhouse I am now building. They are a good size, and the glass is thick making them very solid fixtures. I thought the glass was "seeded" glass. That is when small air bubbles are in the glass. This looks seeded from a distance, but up close they are solid glass with glass specs and bumps speckled on them. As you will see in one of my pictures the bottom of the glass fixture has glass drips, small but they are cool looking. The glass also has the slightest hint of color so the bulbs will be softened. These are great fixtures and come at a good price. They arrived very well packaged and totally covered with Styrofoam. The satin gold finish is just perfect, adds color but isn't screaming gold!.
