bought this second fan for our guest bedroom- installation was challenging as there was no text with only pictorial steps, but any homeowner with moderate skills can accomplish it in under 2 hours(as long as existing wires are done a certified electrician- ours were under a ceiling cover already for a light fixture etc)- but we do love and enjoy the fan/light combo and modern look! would recommend to a friend!!. I ordered this fan to replace an older fan. I wanted something slicker and updated. My old fan had five blades that were 6 inch shorter than these. My boyfriend and I thought that it would only take about three hours to take down the old fan and put the new one up, but let’s say it took us about eight hourswith a run to the hardware store for a few parts.
