We have a "Florida basement" storage room in our modern organic coastal home that needed a light. This was perfect, nice (not cheap) quality and a little fun. When lit, the warm brown weave creates a neat little pattern across the ceiling. As some have mentioned, you will need to be directly under the fan to feel it but it does move air surprisingly well. This is perfect for us because I sometimes hang wet clothes on a drying rack or do some ironing in the center of the room. This fanlight is so cool looking! I put it in my back hallway right near the air intake, and it keeps the air moving enough (even on the low setting of 2 out of 6) to keep my AC from turning on too often because of stagnant air. The bulbs I have in it are just 2 tiny nightlight bulbs. It holds 4 bulbs, so I think I will buy low watt LED filament (Edison bulbs) because I do like the look the clear bulbs give off thru the wicker. Very beachy feeling! Super cute! This fan came fully put together and well packaged. There is a bit of a plastic off gas smell, being that there is no real crystal or glass, but clear plastic.
