This series is made using authentic Mercury Glass which originated in Bohemia, England during the mid- 19th century. Each piece is hand blown and double walled , then silvered between the layers containing silver nitrate, mercury and other liquid metals. No two glass are exactly the same.

Color not as described. I ordered the brushed brass and what I received was more of an orange toned copper color. We are going to try and spray paint the stem and hardware the brass color I had hoped to receive. The mercury glass is beautiful it's just the rest of it that doesn't work. **update** we spray painted the stem and it's now the exact colour I had wanted and the light looks beautiful.. Chelsea.
