They project a very nice pattern. If the light gets a decent amount of sun during the day, it will last all night. If it's in the shade, maybe not. The different light intensities and colors are very fun. I used green to go across my lawn and white to go down the side of my driveway. I did have one stop working. I took two screws out of the back of the top and found the cable from the battery to the circuit board had disconnected. I plugged it back in, the light came on and has been good ever since. Yay!!!. This is the perfect solution to the dark area near my driveway. This is just perfect so Ive decided rather than permanently anchoring it, to secure it to a nicely cut tree stump. I can move it to where I need it and secure it easily. We had a tremendous wind storm the night it was installed and there were no problems whatsoever. Love this planter light. Its not as heavy as I thought it would be but thats probably a plus for some. I have received compliments on it from the neighbors.
