THIS IS NOT A PLUG IN LIGHT. Yes, there is a wire coming out the bottom of the fixture but it ends with wires ready to connect. Youll need to buy your own lamp cord. I got a long one and coiled the wire plus connection inside the lamp. The lamp does not come with an onoff switch. Youll need to buy either a lamp cord with a switch or only plug it in to a receptacle controlled by a light switch. I bought 2 of these. The bottom post was very cranky about attaching on one and I almost gave up on the other. 3 stars for not being truly plug in ready, for not having an onoff switch, and for the cranky assembly of the bottom decorative post.
