These are lovely lights. I purchased 3 to hang from a high cathedral ceiling.The fabric has a very soft pattern that I believe helps to diffuse the light. Although the fabric appears a bright white, and depending on the bulbs you pick, when they are on, it is soft and muted. We put ours on a dimmer, and they can be bright or a really soft accent. At night, stunning. These are very elegant and I feel they can be used in any setting from mid century, to traditional. In my case, it is transitional.These are semi flush mount, and I needed them to hang about 3 feet lower, so we were able to find matching brass rods and the connectors and it looks wonderful. Really stunning little light. With the bulb we got, it actually ended up putting out more light than the 4-bulb light we had previously, so it can really pack a punch even in a larger space. Nice fixture for the price. If you are not handy the directions will be difficult. There are things that could be explained more clearly regarding the mounting bracket and canopy ( the 2 different size screws should be marked on the directions, we them got mixed up so by the 5th attempt the light was finally up!). Lovely light fixture. It’s very dressy, but also has a coastal feel. Really like the way the rattan drum circles the more formal drum. It was very well packed.
