I’ve tried other ways of anchoring outdoor string light and this is by far the best looking. They recommend stringing lighter weight string lights which does help a lot. I started with heavier lights and the poles would be at a slight angle. I filed the base with water. I live in an area that can get very windy and these are stable even during high winds.. Julie. This 24" Ceiling Fan Downrod maximizes your ceiling fan's cooling benefits by providing the proper height. Tapered threaded ends ensure a deeper connection and stronger bond for maximum durability. For optimum performance and safety, ceiling fan blades should be at least 7 feet from the floor but no higher than 8 to 9 feet in order to best cool a room. For ceilings 9 feet and higher, an extension down rod is required to bring the ceiling fan down to the proper height above the floor.

The photo shows the grounding pin being away from the cover hinge, which is what most US customers would want. The item I received, in contrast, had the grounding pin next to the hinge. Annoying since that's one reason I chose the item from Wayfair instead of from a competitor. It CAN be fixed, though. Remove the foam weather seal from the back. Use a screwdriver to press inward *hard* on the metal tabs that hold the plug into the cover. Do one at a time while pushing in on the plug, and you can remove it, flip it over, and snap it back in. The instructions tell you explicitly not to take it apart, but unfortunately for some of us it will be necessary.. Will. Charlottesville, VA. Thu Aug 26 2021
