This Kahler 4 light kitchen island linear pendant light streamlines the classic chandelier look for a modern update to your French country space. It's made of metal with two sloping arms that feature two lights each, evenly spread across its 40'' width. Each candle-style light features a fresh white fabric shade with a bell shape that softens the look. We love that this pendant light is height adjustable as well as sloped ceiling compatible up to 15 degrees in any direction. This light fixture works perfectly in our bathroom. We wanted to replace the original builder-grade light that came with the house, but I had trouble finding something that met our needs. Our previous fixture was ceiling-mounted, while most bathroom lights are designed to be installed on the wall above or beside a mirror. I actually found this light while browsing kitchen fixtures, and my husband suggested it might work well in the bathroom—and he was right. It looks great installed. I especially love that the wiring is fully enclosed in metal tubes. Our old fixture had exposed wiring threaded through chains, which was difficult to keep clean. This fixture also provides three lights, and because the bottom of each sconce is open and the bulbs point downward, it gives off excellent, bright light—perfect for waking up in the morning. Installation notes • Some parts are secured with set screws the correct size Allen wrench is included, which is a nice touch. • The instructions need a small correction two pairs of wires exit the assembled fixture for connection to household wiring, but the instructions only show and describe one pair. • Overall, assembly and installation were straightforward and manageable. Ordered this cylinder pendant to match with 2 others not the same but very similar. The 2 others have white glass and brushed nickel also but shaped differently. If look at 1 - Light Single Dome Pendant by Breakwater Bay you will see. The Milu pendant is for over the kitchen sink; a smaller area. The 2 others (bigger) are for over the breakfast/lunch counter. We received our Perigold light in four days so shipping was awesome. It came very well packaged, and it was very straightforward on how to install it. We installed it on a beam so it was a little harder because we didn’t have an actual light box which would’ve made it a super easy installation. It has wonderful light. It’s over our dining table and it will be perfect on high beam to play games or do whatever you want to do so that you can see very well and then it dims down to a really nice softlight. One review mentions it did not have enough light for a galley kitchen and I believe that would be true if it was your only source of light, but it is awesome over a kitchen table where you have other lighting around it. It is very heavy duty and the electrical wire has no problem getting nice and straight once the light is hung. Also we used it with a Lutron dimmer and that went flawlessly, there is no flickering or noise. We are so very pleased with this light. Thank you Perigold for such great service and product.. Cindy.
