Just snap the stake in the bottom and the light on the top, then hit on. Let it charge in the sun during the day and done. I LOVE that it's solar. I have an amazing video, but the app wouldn't accept it. I'm not sure why. I've tried for a week. It really is a great light. I have a broken piece on my ramp from the winter storm, and this keeps anyone from falling bc it lights it up so well. Performance is everything I would expect and more. It's worked in all kinds of weather from snow to rain to heat as well. The motion sensor seems to work as it should too but I just have it set to just come on when the sun goes down. Having just 1 doesn't really seem too ideal however and we don't have a sidewalk to light up either so we just have it at the step up to our front porch. They are so easy to install! I placed these solar lights along my front walkway and they are the perfect addition. I have them set on the dim light setting and the light gets brighter with motion. This light is really cute at night. It was super easy to set up as well. No wiring or anything like that really no tools required at all. Shipping was good. This is a really great light and I would definitely recommend it. We placed it at the end of our driveway where there is no electrical outlet. When the light works I really like it. The motion sensor has a nice, long range. But, my first shipment had one light that worked and one that didn't. I knew that I knew how to make it work as the other one did. Customer service was really good and shipped a replacement light. Additional to these I already own Ring lights which are motion activated with phone notifications and scheduling - if you are happy to spend more I would suggest the Ring however if you’re budget conscious I would go with these.
