Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. This is a high quality fan light with good features. The light is adjustable in both brightness and warm/cool so I can set it exactly how I like it. Love that feature. It looks really beautiful in my bedroom. The fan puts off a very nice breeze and is very quiet. The downsides: my old traditional ceiling fan had separate switches for the fan and the light, and this fan doesn't work with the second separate fan switch. Also if you turn it off using the wall switch, it preserves the last light setting but not the fan setting, so you would have to turn the fan back on with the remote any time you use the switch. Shout out to the manufacturer and to wayfair. There was an issue with my order missing some of the screws. They resolved my issue quickly and hassle-free. I really appreciate it.. Diana.
