These are definitely not mini. The globes are very large, but are the right fit for our kitchen island. I was expecting a little more of muted brightness with the style of glass it is, but it looks more like clear glass when the light is on, and the watery texture shows more when it's turned off. Very classy. Traditional but with a modern edge. Looks great in my stairwell! Keep in mind this is a narrow closed in stairwell in an older home and the size works well. But if I had a bigger space, I’d want a bit larger fixture. I used a soft white 60 watt equivalent oblong edison bulb. First of all the light is beautiful. It seems to be high quality. There is no down rod or cap with the kit. The site explains that and I understand that those are purchased separately. The issue is there is no information with the light on what down rod or cap to order. I finally got the right rod and cap but that was after a significant interaction with sales staff who were very helpful.
