They project a very nice pattern. If the light gets a decent amount of sun during the day, it will last all night. If it's in the shade, maybe not. The different light intensities and colors are very fun. I used green to go across my lawn and white to go down the side of my driveway. I did have one stop working. I took two screws out of the back of the top and found the cable from the battery to the circuit board had disconnected. I plugged it back in, the light came on and has been good ever since. Yay!!!. I ordered 2 of these (to make a set of 4, 2 small, 2 large) and three of the four arrived damaged. The tops of the two smaller lanterns had several dings and dents. The sides of one of the larger lanterns were bent in. They were packed properly during shipping, thus arrived in very poor shape. Probably wouldn't bother again because they are quite large and arranging return shipping would be a hassle.. Leah. Atlanta, GA. Fri Aug 23 2024
