I took this one a put it over my dining table. At first I thought it was too low but I love it! I get so many comments on it as people enter our house. It gives off a warm tone to the room because of the glass. The light fills the room which I love. If you want a whiter light in your room I suggest recessed lighting coupled with this one so you have options, but we like it without just fine. Oh yeah, it is a beast to install but well worth it..
