Suspended in a glass cube, exposed-filament bulbs huddle round a central rod on a simple candle tree of nickel, brass, or bronze. Machined edges and pinned corner-sleeves add handsome details to the piece. Its metal frame allows for a dramatic splash of shadow.

We got this in the polished nickel. It is a subsantial piece that really works in modern and classic settings. We put two over a kitchen island and in front of a massive kitchen hood and they held their own. Pros: great quality, very elegant, love the square plate, Cons: none. Dina. West Windsor, NJ. A clean blend of traditional and contemporary forms is the first thing you'll notice about the Arc lantern pendant with its unique, slightly convex glass panels. With a freeform white "swirl", the thick hand-poured glass panels have both depth and clarity. Hang singly at an entryway or small table or in multiples down a hallway, larger dining table, or over an island, the Arc Pendant's glass adds a touch of modernity to an otherwise classic form. We have a weakness for acrylic—call it our Achilles’ heel. Taking inspiration from a genius piece by a French designer of the fifties, we swapped out the original’s green glass for transparent acrylic. The opal matte diffuser is a smooth cylinder suspended on three pins. Sure to inspire Lucite lust in even the most dedicated traditionalist, Achilles is a beautiful piece, stunning with brass accents, effortlessly cool with nickel.
