These are definitely not mini. The globes are very large, but are the right fit for our kitchen island. I was expecting a little more of muted brightness with the style of glass it is, but it looks more like clear glass when the light is on, and the watery texture shows more when it's turned off. I hit a little snafu when attempting to install. My home has plaster ceilings and apparently the former kitchen light fixture was not affixed to a beam. As this fixture is very heavy I can’t install it until I can get an electrician out to add a beam to the ceiling. I shortened the wires so that the metal bar is fairly flush with the top of the fixture which will work well in the kitchen since the ceiling is low. I really like the aesthetic of this piece as it adds a bit more modern vibe to my mid century home. I own two other Orren Ellis floor lamps that are durable with a sleek minimalist design.
