When ordering these lights, I loved the idea of having hand blown glass. However, when hanging them, it was very obvious that they were not straight. When taking them apart to look at the glass on its own, we saw that the top part that attaches to the hardware is oblong in shape. I ordered in brushed nickel - looks gorgeous and the blue globes are exactly as pictured. Our island is small - 48 inches. but my husband has macular degeneration and the light is not bright enough for him. We purchased two of these pendants to hang on each side of our king bed in the master bedroom. They look absolutely beautiful and really brought the room to life. The room looks so upscale and I we get more usable space on each nightstand. We had the pendants professionally installed by an electrician on a dimmer switch and also purchased the soft white lightbulbs with the visible coil (like Wayfair has pictured in the lamp) - purchased them at HD. The dimmer switch made all the difference. We purchased them in Matte Black with the Smoke colored glass.
