This thing is amazing! I would prefer the option to have a softer yellow tone light in addition to the bright white, but it fits my needs. Needed a light out near the chicken coop/run but too far from nearest electrical feed to run anything permanent. This fits the bill. I have it on the mode where the light stays on low but comes on bright when approached or when it signals motion from a predator. Lights up the area very well for night time feeding/cleaning activities. I will remove the water from base and replace with sand before winter. Only thing I would change would be an option for an off/motion on mode rather than just low light/bright motion. Love that we can put it anywhere we need more light.. Robert. Leroy, OH. I had one of these where I got the whole pole, base and everything and absolutely love it. Decided I wanted one near our chicken coop for additional lighting when going out to check on them at nigh...so just drove a pole into the ground and mounted this one on top and it works perfect. This light fixture is a nice upgrade to our old one. It's larger and the tempered glass really adds some extra glow at night. The installation was fairly easy until the copper ground wire came undone from the fixture. It was attached with a standard clip but the clip was slightly loose. It was a pretty easy fix though. Just slid it back in and clamped the clip down with some pliers. The rest of the wiring was just fine and straight-forward. The instructions were very clear. It was packaged very well.. Julie.
