Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. The fan is very sleek and could not be quieter. Just excellent. Two small things though. The specifications on Wayfair say it has "brushed bronze" blades. It does not. Thay are white, just like the body of the fan. In truth, I was thrilled, because it was pictured all white - and that's what I thought when I ordered. The second comment is that the installation guide is poor. It has a full step - with diagram - about removing six identical screws, but there's only one line about connecting the controller and all other electrical connections, with a vague picture. I'm pretty handy, but it took me some figuring. As I said though, the fan itself is awesome, so maybe the seller can correct the description and send more detailed install guide to purchasers. This modern white fan is so much better looking than our outdated brown fan! It is sleek and since we have it attached to switches in our bedroom, we didn't even need to install the pull-chains. My husband has installed several fans and said this one wasn't the easiest to install. I love the look of it BUT the light is truly laughable. It is like a spotlight....shines directly downward and does not emit any light to the sides so basically we just have one spotlight in the middle of our room. I received this aluminum ceiling fan in a timely manner. It is white just like I ordered. Not very heavy and comes with remote control for the fan and the lights. From what I have been reading the fan can operate with lights on or off. I love this feature because it is similar to the one in the primary bedroom. The fan can run without the lights being on if that is the preference. Some of the fan blades can be removed and still run. I need an electrician to come and install for me. Unfortunately, bad weather has delayed installation. Will send pictures and information on how it works for me once it is installed. Have e different light illuminations.
