Needed a chain-mounted system to adjust height when needed (will have a rolling island underneath); by using 2 small carabiners to connect the light to the ceiling plate (bypassing the chain as shown), I can safely walk under the light without hitting my head! Our island is small - 48 inches. but my husband has macular degeneration and the light is not bright enough for him.
